On June 13, 2019, the WayBack Machine took a snapshot of the WSDOT website that streams this webcam. Here, you can see the same area that is not covered in snow, and the figure is still there.

Residents in Stirlingshire village react to sighting of mystery ‘creature’ in field

People in the west Stirlingshire village of Killearn could be giving Loch Ness a run for its money.

Main Street resident Jimmy Wright (66) snapped this odd sight while walking his son’s dog on Crow Hill – known locally as ‘the cowfield’.

These days such things cause ripples on social media.

Jimmy told the Observer: “I put it on Facebook – but I was taken aback at just how much response it received. It definitely has people talking.”

People have already likened it to part tortoise, part stoat and various other creatures.

“When I came towards it,” said Jimmy, who retired as an NHS general manager for mental health services in Glasgow in 2006, “I was struck by how prolific it was and took a picture. I thought it looked like a dinosaur. I have been up that way before but the sight was definitely unexpected. I put it on the Killearn For All Facebook page and the comments began.

“One resident, Mary Young, suggested we try to get someone to name it so I agreed to donate £100 to the charity of choice of the person who comes up with the name with the most ‘likes’.

“My cousin from Canada – who happens to be an ophthalmic optician – even commented three times.

“There have been lots of suggestions and Nessie Dorma seems to be ahead at the moment but more are coming in.

“At the end of the day if it gets people talking and gives everyone a bit of escape from all the bad news there seems to be at the moment then it’s all good. If it brightens up someone’s day and makes some money for charity all the better.”

Mary Young added: “We could reinvent Killearn on the strength of this wonderful sight, save the Black Bull and re-open the Spar as a Killearn Nessie Gift Shop!

“There have been quite a few names put forward so far but the competition will run until July 25 to give those on holiday a chance to see it and contribute.”

Mutton dressed as man: Superstitious villagers living in fear after sheep gives birth to ‘half-human half-beast’ creature that was ‘sent by the devil’

Superstitious villagers have been living in fear since a sheep gave birth to this creature that was said by elders to be half-human half-beast and ‘sent by the devil’.

Many of the 4,000 residents and farmers of Lady Frere in Eastern Province, South Africa, were convinced that bestiality and witchcraft had led to the birth of the creature.

The panic got so great that the Eastern Cape Department of Rural Development sent out experts to carry out tests after pictures of it spread like wildfire through the community. 

Chief Director of Veterinary Services Dr Lubabalo Mrwebi admitted that at first glance the lamb which was born dead did resemble a human being but was not part human.

Dr Mrwebi said: ‘We can confirm this not a hoax photo but that the severely deformed lamb was born by a sheep in Lady Frere this week which at a glance resembles a human form.

‘It is not however human but a deformed stillborn lamb sired by a sheep and was subsequently infected by a Rift Valley Fever at an early stage of its pregnancy.

‘It is worth noting that a sheep has 28 pairs of chromosomes while humans have 23 pairs which is important in dispelling the myth that a union of a sheep ovum and a human sperm can lead to a development of a viable life form.

‘The deformed lamb exhibits signs that are consistent with an early foetal development that went wrong as a result of a viral infection and nothing more’ he said.

Dr Mrwebi said that the gestation period for a sheep is five months, and that meant that the particular sheep was conceived in late December 2016 or early January 2017.

He said it was a time of plentiful rainfall which brings with it many mosquitoes and midges which are carriers of viruses that cause the Rift Valley Fever in sheep.

Dr Mrwebi concluded: ‘It is fair to assume, therefore, that the sheep was infected by the RVF virus.

‘The resultant circulation of the virus in the blood found its way through the maternal blood into the uterus and the foetus, which was at a very critical stage of development.

‘The infected foetus then, as a result, failed to form properly, leading to the deformity that it became. It does look like a human form but it is not part human at all’ he said.

The department’s veterinary officials is conducting a post-mortem and its results will be communicated to the public who are fearful in the remote area that witchcraft is at play.

A villager was quoted as saying: ‘The elders when they saw it said it was sent by the devil and was born after a coupling between a man and a sheep and then there was panic.

‘Many people are afraid and will not be happy until it is burned’ he said.

Montauk Moster Similarity?

According to Wikipedia:

The “Montauk Monster” was an animal carcass, thought to be a raccoon, that washed ashore on a beach near the business district of Montauk, New York in July 2008.

The identity of the creature and the veracity of stories surrounding it have been the subject of controversy and speculation.

It is not known what happened to the carcass; it was said to have mysteriously disappeared.

Although not a match, there are similarities between the “Montauk Monster” and this unidentified creature.  Many believe the Montauk Monster to be a deformed raccoon, while others believe it is a product of experimentation by the U.S. Government.

A giant carcass found washed up on a beach in Indonesia’s central Maluku province puzzled locals and authorities trying to identify the massive creature.

The massive carcass was found on Hulung Beach on Serum Island on Tuesday night by a local man, the Jakarta Globe reported.

Asrul Tuanakota, 37, said that he initially mistook the huge fleshy blob for a stranded boat, the newspaper reported.

Locals first shared images of the carcass, measuring about 15 metres (50ft) in length, on Wednesday. The animal  is believed to have been dead for at least three days before being discovered.

According to local reports, fishermen thought it to be a giant squid, but a coordinator of Indonesia’s Marine and Coastal Resources Management said it was likely to be a whale. Lab tests are underway to confirm the species.

Synopsis

Recently I learned of another Bigfoot encounter when I was giving a presentation on UFOs and Cryptid reports.  A woman and her daughter approached me and told me about an experience that the mother had on April 17, 2016. The witness, who was quite upset after the incident, called her daughter soon after it occurred. She gave her daughter a lot of details on the phone and her daughter proceeded to write them down.

Her daughter had brought along her note pad and shared that information with me. I had the chance to talk with the witness in detail and later that day, I went with the witness and another relative to the sighting location just a short distance outside of West Newton. I searched the immediate area, but nothing unusual was observed.

The incident occurred during the evening on a rural road just a short distance from West Newton. The woman was driving about 35 miles per hour and traveling towards West Newton. As she drove along the stretch, on the passenger side of the road to her right, she saw a tall dark figure come out of a clearing and walk up on the road just as she was about to pass that area. She slowed down to look and saw the creature was at the passenger side of the car. What she saw stood approximately 7 feet tall. It was covered with long brownish-red hair. The arms were long and skinny.

What frightened her the most were its large shiny red eyes that seemed to be luminous. The creature was looking into the passenger side window at her. The woman told me she was very frightened and hit the gas and sped down the road to get away from the creature. The witness mentioned that she doesn’t like scary things and had no interest in Bigfoot or watching such TV programs about the creature. She also stated, “I never thought it would happen to me.”

Addendum

The West Newton area and other nearby Westmoreland County communities have had a long history of Bigfoot encounters. In the late 1960s, local residents reported encountering the “Lowber Monster.”  A white hair covered creature was reported by locals and strange footprints were found. Did you see anything strange in the sky last year?  Were you out in the woods and encountered a mysterious animal unlike anything that you had ever seen before? Did you experience an incident that you couldn’t find an explanation for?  If you answered yes to any of these questions, you were not alone. Many Residents from across the state of Pennsylvania reported numerous observations of strange lights and objects in the sky throughout 2015. Some claimed to have seen formations of glowing lights, while others reported encountering spherical, cigar, triangular and rectangular objects from many locations of the Keystone state.

Even stranger were reports from many locations of encounters with mysterious creatures. Sightings of  Bigfoot have historically been recorded for years, and these incidents continue to be reported annually, There were reports of huge birds with massive wingspans (thunderbirds) and even black panthers that are not common to this part of the world. Some creature reports were even stranger.

Citizens of Pennsylvania reported many types of strange incidents including seeing strange footprints, hearing frightening howls, whoops and screams from nearby woods, observing odd clouds, seeing fireballs crossing the sky, and experienced loud mystery booms that shook their homes. Some reported various paranormal experiences including capturing strange images on their cameras. As in past years, the majority of anomalies reported concern unusual lights and objects in the sky.

My interest in strange occurrences began in 1959, when I began to record and document mysterious incidents that were occurring in my home state of Pennsylvania. I was 16 years old in 1965 when the Kecksburg UFO incident occurred in Westmoreland County, and I began to document details about what  had taken place. I began to conduct in the field investigations of UFO and cryptid reports after that incident, and set up a hotline in 1969, for the public to report UFO sightings and other unusual accounts. After so many years of interest in these strange occurrences, I still have never seen a UFO or Bigfoot.

I continue to record such incidents that come to my attention yearly via phone or email. Today there are many other researchers and organizations who also receive Pennsylvania reports. Some of these  resources gathering this information include the National UFO Reporting Center, The Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society, the PA Chapter of MUFON, Jim Brown of Jim’s Destinations, and Lon Strickler of “Phantoms & Monsters.” I maintain contact with many UFO and Bigfoot investigators statewide and across the country.

When I began my field investigations many years ago into various phenomena, it became apparent that many incidents that initially sounded unusual, when properly investigated, were found to be explainable and determined to be of manmade or natural origin. Many UFO sightings are found to have logical explanations and over the years some observations were explained as bright planets and stars, brilliant meteors or re-entry of space debris, lights on aircraft, satellites, NASA high altitude tests, searchlight beams, lights reflecting off of insects, Chinese lanterns, and remote control aircraft. And now we have to deal with quadcopters (drones) with led displays.

Some Bigfoot sightings were only misidentifications of bear or large shaggy dogs. Others were camouflaged hunters in the woods. Many strange footprints were normal tracks that had been distorted by weather and ground conditions. The point is that many anomalies of various types can be explained. Not every UFO and cryptid encounter, however, can be so easily explained away.

While strange encounters are reported from many widespread locations from across the state, one of the most active areas for such unusual incidents continues to be along the Chestnut Ridge that covers sections of Westmoreland, Fayette, and Indiana Counties.

The following are some of the interesting incidents that came to my attention in 2015.

March 12, 2015- Two people had gone out to do some late night shopping near Monessen, located in the Mon Valley area. As they passed under a bridge, the car headlights struck a nine feet tall man-like creature that was covered with black hair that was standing along the side of a road.  As soon as the lights hit it, the creature squinted its eyes and turned and tilted its head. The couple stared at the creature for about 15 seconds then quickly left the area. About 50 feet away from where they saw the creature, they noticed a terrible odor. The Mon valley has had a long history of Bigfoot sightings.

March 16, 2015- Numerous sources received information of a loud boom that shook houses that evening over a wide area of Fayette County from Connellsville to Uniontown. About the same time odd lights were reportedly seen in the area, which were followed by observations of an unusual amount of helicopter activity. A similar mystery boom was reported the night before in Allegheny County.

April 17, 2015- During the evening at a rural location in Westmoreland County not far from West Newton, two people were sitting off a country road and observed a bright white light in the sky moving in their direction which began to make a circular motion. The solid round white object, which made no sound, approached closer to them and hovered over some trees. Suddenly, the car and the area around it became illuminated by a dim white light that was emitted from the hovering object. The witnesses quickly left the area.

April 18, 2015- At a rural location in Greene County not far from Waynesburg, a driver observed what looked like a tall upright figure covered with hair moving quickly up a hillside near a construction site.

April 18, 2015- During the early morning hours, a witness located in a rural area near South Greensburg saw what looked like a tall dark figure in the yard. Later at that location, a large unusual footprint was found that measured approximately 16.5 inches long and 8 inches wide. In past years, other strange creature encounters have been reported from this general area.

April 21, 2015- Around 10:30 AM, a couple was driving between Parker and East Brady in Butler County when they saw a bright flash of light in the sky. The flash appeared to have been the sun reflecting for a moment off the surface of a very large solid object that appeared to be off in the distance over the Allegheny River. The witnesses pulled over to take a better look. The object looked solid black and rectangular shaped and looked to have 4 rows of windows or indentations on its surface. The object entered a large dark cloud that was nearby. The man readied his camera to photograph the object when it exited the cloud, but after 45 minutes, the object was never seen again.

May 8, 2015- Two people driving up a hill during the afternoon in North Huntingdon Township observed a silver metallic “pill” shaped elongated object that was rounded on the ends. The object was moving rapidly across the sky and was soon blocked by trees. When they reached an open view the object was not seen again. There have been many UFO sightings reported around the Irwin and North Huntingdon areas for years.

August 28, 2015- In the distant evening sky over the Laurel Ridge near Ligonier, witnesses observed an object that looked like a clear bubble with a fuzzy looking outside edge. As the witnesses watched, the strange object suddenly dropped straight down from the sky towards the ground. They expected there to be an impact and explosion but they neither heard nor saw anything after that. Many strange events have occurred over the years around both the Laurel Mountain area and Chestnut Ridge.

Late August-Early September, 2015- This incident took place around 5 PM on a sunny afternoon as the witness was taking a leisurely drive in eastern Butler County. Suddenly, 15-20 feet ahead of the vehicle and about ¾ of the way across the road, a being that was hard to describe was moving from right to left in front of the car. Whatever this thing was, it had a skinny body, stood about 4-4 ½ feet tall, and was similar to the color of a deer.

The head looked somewhat like that of a deer but was not real pointy. It narrowed at the top then rounded off. The creature was observed only from the side. The arms were very short and were held close to the chest. The hands were quite small and looked as though they were carrying something or being held together. No legs or feet were observed. The driver said the thing just “glided” above the roadway. When the witness reached the location on the road where the creature had been, it was no longer seen. The witness could not understand how the thing was just gone in a matter of seconds.

September, 2015- A witness reported seeing a huge black bird with a wingspan estimated to be over 15 feet wide that wasn’t flapping its wings, but just soaring through the sky. The sighting took place near the Cedar Street exit outside of Greensburg.  This area has had a history of thunderbird reports. There were other reports of giant bird sightings from across the state during the year.

September-October 2015- Numerous reports of triangular objects were reported from various locations.

On September 1, 2015, a witness near Springdale located about 18 miles NE of Pittsburgh observed a very bright white light toward the west that evening.  As the light got closer, an unusual loud sound was heard unlike that of jet or propeller aircraft. As the object passed low overhead, it appeared to be huge and was not any type of aircraft the witness was familiar with. The observer looked up at the bottom of a solid boomerang shaped object that had evenly spaced dim white spotlights that were all non-blinking  along the edge of the underside of the object. The underbelly of the object had a greenish tinge. The object moved toward the east, then banked to the south and moved out of sight.

In early October at a rural location between Fayette and Westmoreland counties, a man walked outside of his home around 11 AM and looked up to see the bottom of a very large solid black triangular object that had appeared to have four exhaust vents. The object was moving very slowly about 500 feet above the ground and was completely silent. The man grabbed his cell phone which was completely charged to take a picture. When he aimed at it, the phone reportedly lost all power and would not function. This effect has been reported by other witnesses over the years.

November 23, 2015- At about 2 PM, a married couple was driving on a rural road about 2 miles from Ligonier. The driver noticed some movement in the bushes to the right of the road. Suddenly, an animal began to trot from right to left about 10-20 feet ahead of the car. The car was stopped as both witnesses watched something quite strange.

The animal was four legged and looked somewhat like a fox. However, they could only see the outline of the animal, as this creature was not solid, and no color or fur was observed. The husband told me that the animal had a “smoky veil shape” but his wife who had a longer look at it stated that she could “see through it.” She also said that there was a specific area within the body shape that was like an energy pattern. They watched as the animal entered the woods to their left and never saw it again.

December 24, 2015- At about 9 PM, a witness was outside when he noticed a solid triangular object southwest of Greensburg. There were a number of non-blinking lights on the silent object which was approaching closer to the witness location. The witness grabbed a floodlight and aimed it towards the object. As soon as the light hit the object, it disappeared and was not seen again.

December 9, 2015, was the 50^th anniversary of the Kecksburg, PA UFO crash-landing incident.

Late that afternoon in 1965, a brilliant fiery object was observed over a widespread area. That object reportedly fell from the sky into a wooded ravine near that Mount Pleasant Township community.  Soon after the object fell, many eyewitnesses reported military personnel arriving in that area to search for the fallen object.

The object was reportedly taken away from that location on a military flatbed tractor trailer truck where it was transported first to Lockbourne  Air Force Base in Ohio for a short stay over. The truck then continued on to Wright Patterson Air Force Base where it ended its journey. There have been many theories brought forth over the years as to what the object was that fell near Kecksburg in 1965. What that object was remains open for speculation.

Background

The following is a case that “went viral” across the internet in the beginning week of February of 2016. Although many British tabloid style papers ran the story first, which does not help the credibility, that shouldn’t take away from the fact there was a video and multiple photos that can be offered up. Of course possibly a hoax, it is offered here for feedback. Once proof comes in of a hoax, it will be labeled as such.

A skier sounded the alert after posting the photo taken at Formigal in northeastern Spain on a popular website with the message: “Strange animal spotted in Formigal. What the hell is this?.”

The picture, retweeted thousands of times, sparked a search by ski resort owners Aramon and a frenzied debate over whether a Spanish Yeti was on the loose or if it was a bear, Photoshop montage or even a soldier wearing mountain camouflage.

The mystery remained unsolved last night, although skiers were being reassured there was no cause for alarm.

A spokesman for the resort, which hosted the FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships in 2008, confirmed a search of the area had been conducted after an “alleged Yeti sighting.”

He said: “We have spoken to the witnesses of the sighting to identify the area in which it took place and after combing the area we have found nothing.

“We believe therefore that there is no cause for alarm and that visitors’ security is guaranteed.

“In any case we will remain alert.”

The mystery man behind the photo, who posted it on a popular Internet forum under the user name Kangaroo, sparked the alarm by writing: “This morning skiing in Formigal with friends we’ve come across this. What the hell is it?

It has turned out to be nothing more than a marketing campaign by the company that manages the ski resort where the ‘sighting’ took place.

An ‘alien fish’ caught on a small Caribbean island has left experts baffled, as they struggle to determine its species.

The creature reportedly has ‘feet’ which allows it to walk across the seabed, a ‘ perfect human nose’, and scales like a fish. 

The sea creature was caught in the port of Windward on the tiny island of Carriacou, a few miles from Grenada.

One islander said ‘Everyone crowded round to look – nobody had ever seen anything like it.

‘Quite a few people were pretty scared and thought it looked like something out of a sci-fi horror film.’

Veteran fisherman Hope McLawrence, 74, who found himself staring into the eyes of the ‘alien’ creature when he hauled in his nets, admitted he was astounded and baffled.

The foot-long beast had two feet with toes, no fin, a long bone on its back and ‘a perfect human nose immediately above its mouth’ according to Mr McLawrence.

‘I have never discovered anything like this before. The wings and tail looks extremely complicated.’

Mr McLawrence, who has more than fifty years experience in the fishing industry added ‘By the look of the creature it cannot swim but apparently walks on the sea bed.

‘This has shocked me to a considerable extent since I never thought that a creature like this even existed, much less in the harbour of these shallow, friendly waters.

‘This is like a mystery and breathes a chill with this discovery’ he added. 

The fish is believed to be a frogfish, an ambush predator that can eat almost anything that will fit into their large mouths. This includes other fish as well as crabs and shrimp.

Possible Explanation

Although a lot of theories are beginning to circulate, and one expert in the article above called it a “Frogfish,” The Black Vault adds the following fish to this case file, which is in the oceans called a Walking Batfish.

According to Wikipedia:

The red-lipped batfish or Galapagos batfish (Ogcocephalus darwini) is a fish of unusual morphology found around the Galapagos Islands and off Peru at depths of 3 to 76 m (10 to 249 ft). Red-lipped batfish are closely related to rosy-lipped batfish (Ogcocephalus porrectus), which are found near Cocos Island off the coast of Costa Rica. This fish is mainly known for its bright red lips. Batfish are not good swimmers; they use their highly adapted pectoral fins to “walk” on the ocean floor. When the batfish reaches maturity, its dorsal fin becomes a single spine-like projection (thought to function primarily as a lure for prey). Like other anglerfish, the red-lipped batfish has a structure on its head known as illicium. This structure is employed for attracting prey.

Could this fish explain the mystery?

The enigmatic remains of a giant marine animal with a furry tail found in Russia’s Far East have puzzled locals and social media, but scientists have managed to identify the odd creature.

A mysterious sea animal washed ashore near the airport at Shakhtersk on Sakhalin Island this weekend, Sakhalin Media web portal reported on Wednesday. The remains, a few meters in length, featured a furry tail and a huge nose, making it very difficult to identify the creature.

Social media reacted to pictures posted online with a variety of explanations for the appearance of a never-before-seen creature in Russia. While it reminded some people of an ancient dinosaur, the most popular guess was that it was a Ganges River dolphin from India.

“Probably, our summer is so cold that even the Indian Dolphins getting into local waters are covered with fur,” a commentator joked.

However, according to experts, it would be impossible for a fresh water dolphin to survive the swim in the salty ocean. Besides, they don’t have any fur and are smaller in size.

“We have gathered a group of scientists. We studied all the versions and came to the conclusion that the fossils found ashore belong to a whale cub,” Nikolay Kim, Deputy Head of the Forecasting department of the Sakhalin Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography, told Sakhalin Media.

Kim added that the cub must have been a giant beaked whale, a species that is quite common for the region, so the discovery is a“no wonder.” Besides, all dolphins and whales are born with a hair coat that disappears with age.

Berardius bairdii, also called “giant bottlenose whales,” is the largest of all beaked whales, reaching up to 12 meters in length, and found in the North Pacific. It is listed in the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (CMS).

I obtained this artifact from the estate of a woman in Iowa about 9-10 years ago. I purchased it from her grandson, who had characterized it as simply a “carved stone head”. He knew nothing about it – only that he had found it in a box of his grandmother’s possessions after she passed at age 85 or so. After I purchased it, I pressed him for more details about its possible origin. He indicated he would ask his older relatives and get back to me. What he learned was that she was always interested in curiosities and indian things, and that she had the item most of her life. She had done some traveling when she was younger.

I then contacted Dick Hilton, a respected geology professor at Sierra College in Rocklin. He agreed to meet with me at his college office sometime in late 2008 or early 2009. He examined the stone and said he thought it was likely a form of porphyry, which is similar to granite. Looking at the patina of the stone and the wear evident on the high points of the carved surface, he indicated that it appeared to him to be “of some age”. He agreed that it may be native American, and if it was, it likely represented some stylized ancestral figure. I did not reveal to him my personal belief that it may represent a sasquatch face, as academics often scoff at such assessments.

I finally did reach Dr. Sprague a few years ago, but he was ill at the time, and not able to give me his assessment of the carving. He died soon thereafter, but his wife, an archaeologist, thought the carving merited further research and encouraged me to continue my quest.

SUMMARY

On August 24, 2004 I spoke at length with a female subject from the Lucasville, Ohio vicinity. This persons name will not be divulged in this report. She contacted the Cincinnati UFO Hotline (513-588-4548) to report recent UFO sightings that have taken place over a period of several days near her area. She said that she has video of a UFO from August 17 and also from the last night and earlier this morning. She candidly admits that the video is of poor quality, of hand-held operation and only showing a ‘light’ in the center of a dark screen.

We spoke for over 1-hour and discussed her concerns of UFO activity near her home (Crosspoint of Blue Run and Morris Lane) on August 17, August 19 and earlier this evening (August 24th). She said that her road runs perpendicular to Route 23 and that her home is situated 6-miles from the Ohio Correctional Institute Prison Facilityat Lucasville. The subject said that in addition to herself, there are 4-witnesses to a huge, spherical object in the eastern sky during several episodes of unusual UFO activity taking place over the past few nights and earlier this evening. She also complained of a headache and stomach ache for 3-days after the first sighting of August 17.

ABOUT THE SUBJECT:

Lisa XXXXX (name deleted for privacy)said that she was stationed at Brooks AFB (San Antonio, TX facility which merged with Lackland AFB) for 5-year as a secretary. She is currently disabled(with a birth defect on her left leg) and taking care of a family of 3 children ages 12 to 9. Her youngest son has bipolar disorder.

Her roommate, Sheila XXXXX (also deleted for privacy, on-file) also has a 12-year old daughter and her visiting friend Della XXXXX (also deleted for privacy, on-file) is also a witness to the UFO activity.

AUGUST 17 UFO

The episode of UFO sightings began on Monday, August 17th at about 9:30 p.m. when the witness and her friends Della (who moved in from Athens) and Sheila, all over 30-years old, had been present for a social visit. The three were also concerned about local thieves who had recently been stealing yard property.

While on periodic lookout (sitting on her living room couch inside 2-mobile homes put together to form one home),and looking directly south out her living room window, Lisa noticed what appeared to be bright headlights on a white mailbox post. They continued to watch the mailbox post as it was illuminated for about 30-minutes, taking note that the angle of the lights seemed to originate from the east and an upper direction, before finally asking her roommate to ask
where the reflection of light was coming from. They then went to the west end of the kitchen to look out the window and saw reflective dot-like spots on the tail end of her mini-van parked outside.  The reflectivity was seen on the glass as well as the car itself, and the roof of her van lit up an almost ‘bluish’ color. The witness advised that the entire road in front of the house was also illuminated by a ‘blue haze. ‘The blue color was also reflecting off a propane tank and Lisa, Sheila and Della decided to step outside to investigate the source of the light reflections on the various yard items.

When outside, they cautiously looked around and – according to Lisa – did not think to look toward the sky.They took it for granted that the source of the light was somehow originating from a car on a road. At this point, according to Lisa, they noticed a subtle light change that seemed to become orange-like. The witness looked toward the direction of her mother’s security light situated nearby (there was some kind of huge surge of power through the security light, causing it to glow 4-times brighter than usual and out of focus), trying to find the source of illumination on the tank, and at that point saw pulsing lights in the eastern sky. Lisa said this was somewhat of a shock to her. The bluish-white lights would pulse darker and lighter, the witness said it was like a ‘heartbeat’ and you could depend on the next pulse, not at all like a blink. This was one solid, physical object in the sky, out further than the security light and past the woods, over a tree line and no more than 10-miles distant.

Lisa said this object was visible for hours and the witness observed it taking different positions across the sky, zipping from place to place. It was comprised of several lights and could be seen to rotate, having a white fog about it and at times would be comprised of 3 or 4-lights, but having no sound.

Although the object would move from position to position and return again, they primarily looked at the object when it was in position toward the eastern sky as if it was localized toward Jackson, Ohio (going east on 139).

The witnesses decided to maintain their position and watch this activity for several hours into the early morning time frame. As they listened to a loud chorus of dogs barking from all different areas around her, they also debated what the object was and made an attempt to capture the object on videotape and watched as beams of light were ‘thrown’ or reflected through the air.

Closer to 4:30 a.m., one aircraft comprised of a triangular-shaped light configuration came into view after the witnesses heard a distinct jet-like low, dull roar or rumble. This triangular object,having dozens of pulsating multi-colored lights all around its surface,approached from the west and flew straight overhead at a lower elevation than the first white object, then would change direction and travel southeast.The duration of this sighting was around 60-seconds and then the object would return along the same path, making a direction change at the same estimated position and return to the
west, but looking behind its path and watching its departure, the witness saw many bright glowing star-like objects that pulsed white.

Lisa explained that she was concerned about what might be going on in the Lucasville area and had asked if others had reported sightings. She had heard of local UFO reports before but said that this distinct episode began during the week of the 19th.

On the 19th, Lisa said that she watched a huge, luminescent white cylindrical shape also during late night hours.She attempted to videotape the light source, but on camera its focus is off and the camera was not fastened to a tripod. Lisa said the object looked like a ‘hotdog,’ and acknowledges being an amateur videographer.

CREATURE SIGHTING

During a bizarre sighting that took place several hours before our telephone discussion, Lisa expressed concern about something that may have landed across the road from her residence earlier and went on to express her perception of a humanoid figure seen in the darkness of her backyard within a few hours of the object ‘landing’in the field.

Around 9:30 p.m. (Tuesday, August 24th),Lisa and her friend Sheila felt there was a creature near their home.

“Jesse’s bedroom points toward that field to the east where we’ve seen all this activity behind moms,” she said.

“Shortly after this small light came down in the field across the road, some distance away, we all sat around and were on the lookout for what would happen next. Just a little while after this I heard a rustle and saw a bush move to the left, and that whole area to my left is nothing but woods, brush and hills. I don’t know what it was, but I was tuned in to what was going to happen next and I saw the brush move and I saw eyes or something reflecting light. The security light is between Jesse’s window and that bush, and Jess described (roommates daughter, 13-yrs. Old), the same thing.

Lisa said the experience has been very frustrating and cannot say for certain that the figure spotted was a woodland animal or otherwise related to the UFO sighting. She said that to pass the time, she has been working with the children to craft aluminum foil hats to make light of the situation, and they have been sitting around the house wearing aluminum foil on her head. Despite the effort to find humor in the situation, Lisa said they are seriously alarmed.

I asked if I could talk with Sheila concerning the suspected landing of a UFO and the sighting of this ‘figure’outside.

Sheila then came to the phone and introduced herself to me, explaining: “Okay, there were these lights that came down to ground level, I would say they were lined up almost looks like on aboard, but there are 4 lights together and when they flash they go alternately top right to bottom left, then reverse. Then before you know it, two bright flashes of light go flying into the field and into the forest there to the left, which would be into our woods, opposite to where this thing would be behind the tree line.”

Sheila said that after this “board of lights” would flicker and flash, it seemed to descend into the field where it was no longer visible. She said that she maintained an alert observation,looking out for what was to follow and that some time had passed before the suspected ‘creature’ was sighted (perhaps 15 to 20-minutes).

Sheila said that this ‘creature’ was engaged in a rapid scurrying or running through the field across the road and into the immediate yard in front of the house. She could not discern with certainty whether it was 2 or 4-legged (walking upright) due to darkness,but felt it was walking upright and also felt herself to be keenly aware that there was a physical presence outside as she watched through the window.

She spoke of the creature in the ‘past tense’ method, stressing that she could not presently see it while talking with me by telephone.

“It looked as if I could see eyes in the bushes,” Sheila said. “It looked like a large white head. I could not see a body, it sort of blended into the bush, but the eyes are reflecting the security light, like an animal looking at you in the woods, but I do not know if this was an animal.”

Sheila also repeated that her friend Lisa saw something land in the field and also claimed to have seen something running in the darkness.

“Whatever this was, it was running so fast, that it somehow blended with the environment,” Sheila said.

Sheila estimated the distance of between 20 to 25-feet from the window to the bush where the suspected “eyes” were fixed at one point.

Lisa returned to the phone and I tried to ask follow up questions, but the two were talking excitedly and saying so much that taking notes became difficult at this point. Both Lisa and Sheila felt that the creature was outside the residence while we spoke.

Lisa said that she did not feel threatened,and I asked if they had a flashlight or something to illuminate the area.Sheila gathered her courage as we spoke and I  waited on the phone as she walked outside to investigate the immediate area near the house and nearby bushes. She was away from the phone for about 3-minutes before turning to inform that she could not see anything in the bushes and perhaps”it” was gone (I talked with Lisa on the phone while Sheila had investigated).

I will note for the record that neither Lisa nor Sheila seemed to reference the ‘creature’ as an alien, but clearly expressed their concern that this object was somehow related to the sighting of a UFO.  They did not say the word ‘alien’ and when discussing the creature, they used careful language and several times each one closed their sentence or statement with an upturned ‘question mark’ accent to their expression.

Lisa went on to explain that she had called The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report the first UFO sighting from the other morning. Lisa said that the receptionist at police headquarters took her name, address and phone number and said that someone would callback, but Lisa said nobody has called and she doesn’t think her call to the police department was taken very seriously.

When asked of any other unusual activity taking place locally, Lisa said that on August 18,  there was a very strange thunderstorm with continual, rolling thunder and ferocious, strobing lightning that hit her area. This storm was reported by a reporter who writes with the Shawnee Sentinel and at one point, the thunder sounded like a ‘thud’ that hit the top part of the living room, making a sound similar to that of skittering or small feet.

After our lengthy discussion, I told Lisa of my interest in UFOs sighted in the Lucasville area and my interest
in the prison facility there. Lisa speculated that prison guards at the Ohio Correctional Institute should
have been able to see the UFOs that she observed. I explained my interest in following up with Lisa and
Sheila and having a look at her videotape and better understanding the nature of the sighting activity. I
also asked that they keep me posted if any more UFOs are sighted, or if they feel there is something unusual taking place outside. I gave her my telephone number and advised them to undertake extreme caution and to keep
the telephone number to the police department close at hand, and asked that if they should call the police
again to also call me. Lisa explained that she was exhausted and frustrated from this experience.

INVESTIGATOR COMMENT

The witness did not offer any indication of an interest or proclivity toward things paranormal or faith-based. She did explain of her military career and was most helpful with details of her busy family and personal life. The telephone conversation was lengthy and I explained my occasional inability to take notes as complete and thorough as I would have liked as she had a lot to report and would often explain multiple things and sightings at once. She did stop and help me take notes at times, some sentences pertaining to a description of the UFO I would stop and read to her, asking that she correct me on certain notes.

After the discussion, I was of the impression that the witness was basically honest and frustrated with the exhausting circumstances; perhaps believing that UFOs were active in some clandestine or secretive way in the darkness near her residence. Her frustration might have been compounded by her not having an answer to account for the sightings.

As for the sighting of the object seen for a lengthy duration on August 17 that she videotaped, this may fit the description of a routine star or planet when taken into account misperception potential. However, the traits such as ‘pulsing’ and the object changingposition or ‘roaming’ from place to place over a duration do not fit that explanation.

The perception of a ‘creature’ is something I cannot account for, only by speculation that a woodland forest creature such as a deer or even a bear may have been in the vicinity and some situational cross-interpretation developed in which Lisa and Sheila might have interpreted the slight observation or indistinct sighting of this creature into the UFO situation that had already been underway. The indistinct creature,elusively running, was seen in darkness and no discernible form could be observed, and nothing immediately suggests this was any intelligence or related with the sighting of an object thought to have landed moments earlier.

ADDITION

Cincinnati researcher Donnie Blessing made inquiries with the Scioto County Sheriff’s office and was able to determine that the drug surveillance helicopter used in the county was operational in the vicinity during the time frame in question, but not active only during daylight hours – not at night. This rules out the helicopteras one possible explanation.

It’s probably all still up there. 

We don’t know if this was Bigfoot or what we saw, but it could have been Bigfoot.

When the black bear you think you’re looking at from a safe distance suddenly stands and begins to resemble bigfoot, and that creature stares directly at you, how do you react? The hikers who captured the accompanying footage recently in Utah’s Provo Canyon seemed to act appropriately: They bolted through the woods, with the camera still running, to get as far away from the creature as possible. “We ran straight to the car after that, leaving our tent and everything behind. It’s probably all still up there,” states Beard Card, the YouTube user who posted the video. This is one of the more realistic Bigfoot escapades in some time.

Naturally, skeptics are analyzing the video in the hopes of finding an explanation. Yet even healthy cynics are pretty impressed with what they see. They note that the witnesses don’t appear to be acting. If they were, the skeptics say, they’d likely be a lot more vocal, and fall into the overacting trap. They also didn’t stick around to get a great shot, which also rings of a very natural reaction, but didn’t help when it came to capturing a better image.

Nevertheless, the shot of what clearly looks like the animal’s big broad arms is extremely compelling, which is why Max Roth of Fox 13 caught up with Beard Card to talk about the incredible encounter.

Card told Roth how they were standing there for a good chunk of time even before recording what they believed to be a bear at the time, while he was trying to get the camera to work. During their exchange, Card hit on their reaction. Here are a few excerpts.

He’s Still Here! Elusive Lake Champlain Monster Surfaces to Serenade Onlookers With Strange Sounds

With all this talk about Bigfoot lately, the Lake Champlain monster took the time out of his busy schedule to scare the crap out of an unsuspecting family and remind everyone why he really is the coolest monster.

Martin Jones and his family were enjoying a quiet day on Lake Champlain last week when out of nowhere a “big greenish thing” surfaced on the water in order to eyeball the group fishing on the nearby shore.

“I was like, is that an alligator? But right away I saw the round head and big black eyes, kind of an empty look, there was nothing that resembled a reptile of any kind” said eyewitness Peter Clark.

“I could make up some scales on the side of the head, but most of the skin I’d say looked like that of a catfish. Then, some sort of horn or spike or something, that was freaky, really. It was there for 20 seconds and then it left.”

Before leaving, Champ made sure to serenade Clark and the Jones family with a sound that all eyewitnesses agreed sounded like a whale before splashing off into the depths of the Champlain lake.

Unfortunately neither party were able to get photographs of the beast as they were most likely all standing around in awe with their mouths hanging open. Next time, guys.

TUCSON, Ariz. (Cryptozoology News) — A group of three mountain bikers reportedly saw a reptilian humanoid last week in the middle of a trail located in the Sonoran desert.

The bicyclists were riding the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo race course, a 17 mile trail, when they spotted the creature.

“It’s a tough one,” said G. Johnson, 34, a self-described businessperson from Tucson. “It is a 24 hour track, so you better come prepared with more than enough food and water. There are times you just wanna go back and wish you had never got there in the first place. But when you see what nature has to offer you here…well, those regrets dissipate rather quickly.”

Johnson states that he and two other friends were half way into the track when something “terrifying” made the group consider cancelling the ride.

“We had been riding for about… I don’t know maybe nine hours, taking breaks every now and then. Then Michael says he needs to stop for a minute. We are waiting for him to finish when all of a sudden we see this long figure walking across the trail. He is maybe about 6-foot tall, very very skinny, and it had an awkward gait, like a monkey…or a man with a disease, almost robotic, kind of,” he told Cryptozoology News.

According to the eyewitness, two of the men were watching the strange animal while the third one, Michael, was unaware of what was happening.

“Then all I remember about Michael is him saying what the hell is that? Or something like that. But he sounded far away. He probably used a different word instead of hell. Thing is, we had somehow walked a little towards the thing. Don’t ask me why…maybe to look at it better, not knowing what it was.”

Then, Johnson says, the creature “heard Michael speak” and, apparently taking notice of the “intruders”, its head took an eerie 280 degree turn.

“He stopped and it made eye contact with me and I could see him clearly. The eyes were kind of like a snake’s, but black and with a yellow stripe in the middle of the eye. It had green and red scales on the face and head. The red color was kind of like the same as the desert sand there, and it looked like it had a sandy texture too. It didn’t have a nose, only two holes on it. I couldn’t see any ears or hair. A red mouth that looked like it had blood around it, but it didn’t look like it was bleeding, it looked like a pattern. It reminded me of a chameleon, but it looked like a person too.”

Allegedly, the creature raised its “long arms with strange looking claws that looked like a branch full of thorns” and waved at them, emitting a loud chattering sound with its teeth. Then it rapidly ran away, in a fashion that reminded the witness of “a lizard trying to hide.”

“He looked like he was examining us and then he ran into the desert. We thought about going back the same way we came, but we thought it didn’t matter, since we were in the middle of the track anyway. We were scared, to be honest. None of us had ever seen anything like it. It lasted only a few seconds, but it felt longer than that, at least to me. So after we talked about it for a while, we decided to go on and finish the track.”

Johnson believes that what they saw was real and not a product of their imagination. “When you read these stories online or watch them on TV, well, you think man these people are crazy, on meds or something or in need of attention, but this has made me a believer. There has to be more of them out there. If there’s one, there’s gotta be two at least right? I know most people won’t believe a word I said, that’s the way I used to be. I don’t blame them at all. But they are out there. Now I’m not saying this is an alien or a chupacabra or anything like it, all I’m saying is I have never seen anything like it in my life. But I am no biologist so what do I know.”

People living around the New Mexico border report seeing strange lights in the sky and bizarre phenomena. Indirectly creating a thin line between cryptozoology and ufology, writer Mac Tonnies, in his book The Cryptoterrestrials: A Meditation on Indigenous Humanoids and the Aliens Among Us, proposes the idea that certain “alien” sightings could be attributed to the existence of a group of humanoid species endemic to Earth.

“I’ve been patrolling these back roads for a long time and I never run across anything like this.” Last Friday, Cpl. Brandon Reidel was training a new deputy when they came across an unusual sight. “We were out checking fence lines and we came around the corner and we saw this running down the road.” Thinking they’d spotted the elusive Cuero Chupacabra, Reidel turned on his dash cam.

“You need to record something like this b/c it’s not everyday you find something that looks like this running around out in the middle of the county.” The short-legged, hairless critter with a long snout looks like a coyote, but Reidle isn’t convinced.

“It just doesn’t look like your average coyote or dog or anything.” KSAT reporter Tim Gerber has the story.

We’ve heard the stories and the tales of the 8-foot tall creature better known as Bigfoot. Some say they’ve seen him, many believe it’s a myth, but one man claims he’s actually killed the creature.

“September 6, 2012, I killed Bigfoot,” said Master Tracker Rick Dyer.

Rick Dyer recently released photos of the Bigfoot he claims to have killed outside of San Antonio Texas.

“The reason why I released photos of the beast couple of days ago is because I just received the body,” said Dyer.

According to Dyer, the body has been at a university in Washington getting tested. He did not want to disclose exactly what university that was at the moment, but he did mention the university would be at a press conference in February to stand behind him.

“DNA, DNA sequencing, scans, autopsy, everything you can imagine it was being done,” said Dyer.

Aside from his tracking skills, Dyer said he managed to kill the 800 pound creature by listening to people he said no one would listen to and by using pork ribs.

“When they came I killed one, there was a couple that night, but I just managed to kill one,” said Dyer. “I shot him twice in the back and once in the head.”

Dyer said he decided to kill the creature for redemption.

“I pulled off a hoax in 2008 and ever since then I was fascinated by Bigfoot and the only way for Rick Dyer to get any redemption was to bring one in because nobody believes Bigfoot, they categorize Bigfoot as the tooth fairy and the Easter bunny and Santa Claus,” said Dyer. “I made Bigfoot from a myth to a reality.”

Dyer said his full time job finally paid off.

“I am the first person who has ever killed a Bigfoot, that’s without a doubt,” said Dyer. “Others may claim it, but no one has produced a body but Rick Dyer. They give you a piece of bear meat and tell you to go test it, I have the body. I’m the real deal.”

According to Dyer the body will eventually end up in a museum, but before it does, he plans to show it around.

“We are actually going to go on tour throughout the United States and into Mississippi and I will be happy to bring it by your studio,” said Dyer.

Dyer said a medical press conference is scheduled for February 9 in Washington. There he said all results and evidence will come to light. He also said more pictures will be released soon by a major network.

Recent NM ‘skinwalker’ photo ignites fear

CUBA, N.M. (KRQE) – Is a strange alien-looking creature prowling in northern New Mexico?

A Facebook picture circulating Thursday has a lot of people up there worried. The post was shared thousands of times within a few hours and had a lot of people uttering the word skinwalker, a well-known legend in Indian country.

The picture shows an unexplained being lurking on the side of a road.

The person who posted it claimed it was taken near Lybrook and Counselor, which is near the Jicarilla reservation.

The story claims that a geologist was working in an oil field in the area and saw something odd and decided to take a heat signature of it. The next day, the geologist suddenly quit.

The story spread like wildfire with people on social media saying, “seriously freaking out,” “yikes … I’m driving through there tomorrow,” and “skinwalker!”

Skinwalker refers to a Native American legend which was brought to life by author Tony Hillerman.

According to the legend, a skinwalker is a person with the supernatural ability to turn into any animal and walks on all fours.

There are stories of countless encounters, but few will speak of them, too scared they will be targeted again.

Many people who posted and shared the picture Thursday said they found their posts and comments disappear. People who emailed it to others said they were unable to retrieve it.

But everyone can rest easy. It didn’t take long for the picture and story to be debunked.

It apparently comes from a 1980s science fiction move “Xtro,” where a creepy being is born, then goes on the prowl and is spotted by a couple driving along the road.

It’s unclear how the story was connected to Lybrook or Counselor, or that so-called geologist. Perhaps it was just someone having a little fun, but it shows the power of social media and legends.

The New Mexican who posted the image Thursday has since taken it down, saying she shared it because others had. She says she has no information about its origin.

Hey guys I know I am new here but I noticed you didnt have the wierd picture on this site. It is a new story I just found out about there is very little to what is known about it or anything I just have the picture.  If you can find more out that would be great!  Looks like an oarfish swam through fukushima. lol 

“Experts” are saying this is a giant oarfish or a thresher shark.  If you go ahead and look these creatures up you can see that they look nothing like creature dead on that beach.  The oarfish if you look at multiple photos is very long and skinny.  There are no horns on the oarfish.  Then the thresher shark.  It’s a shark with a tail fin?  Come on seriously?!!?

Maria Sanchez of Civil Protection in Cuevas.  This creature was apparently 13 ft from head to tail.  It stunk as well this reminds me of the case that was recently posted here about what people seem to think is a whale carcass.  I am wondering if the Leviathans really did exist.

Since its inception in the sixth century, the legend of the Loch Ness Monster has endured unreliable sightings, doctored photos and faked footprints, but a mysterious satellite image has given fresh hope to believers of the elusive Scottish sea creature.

The image, taken by an Apple map satellite, depicts a shadowy form of around 100 feet in length with something akin to flippers in the water of the Loch Ness.

“We’ve been looking at it for a long time trying to work out exactly what it is,” Gary Campbell, president of the Official Loch Ness Monster Fan Club, told the Daily Mail.

“It looks like a boat wake, but the boat is missing. You can see some boats moored at the shore, but there’s one here. We’ve shown it to boat experts and they don’t know what it is.”

After studying the image for six months, and with apparently other obvious explanation, the Club has concluded that shadow is probably the Loch Ness Monster.

“Whatever this is, it is under water and heading south, so unless there have been secret submarine trials going on in the loch, the size of the object would make it likely to be Nessie,” Campbell said.

One of the spotters, 26-year old Andrew Dixon from Darlington, said: “It was a total fluke that I found it. I was looking at satellite images of my town and then just thought I’d have a look at Loch Ness.

The first that came into my head when I saw it was, ‘That’s the Loch Ness Monster’.”

This supposed sighting is the first reported in 18 months, the longest that Nessie has been missing since 1925. All three sightings of the monster in 2013 were all found to be as fake – one was a duck, one was a wave and one wasn’t even taken at Loch Ness.

A very important official, Major-General V. Demyanko, commander of the Military Diver Service of the Engineer Forces of the Ministry of Defense, USSR. He arrived to inform the local officers of an extraordinary event the had occurred during similar training exercises in the Trans-Baikal and West Siberian military regions. There, during their military training dives, the frogmen had encountered mysterious underwater swimmers, very human-like, but huge in size (almost three meters in height!)

The swimmers were clad in tight-fitting silvery suits, despite icy-cold water temperatures. At the depth of fifty meters, these “swimmers” had neither scuba diving equipment (“aqualungs”), nor any other equipment, only sphere-like helmets concealing their heads.

Well, the local military commander (quite alarmed by such encounters) decided to capture one of the creatures. With that purpose in mind, a special group of seven divers, under the command of an officer, had been dispatched.

As the frogman tried to cover the creature with a net, the entire group was thrown out of the deep waters to the surface by some powerful force. Now, because autonomous equipment of the frogmen does not allow surfacing from such depths without strict adherence to the process of decompression stops, all of the members of the ill-gated expedition were stricken by aeroembolism, of the Caisson disease. The only remedial treatment available consisted of an immediate confinement under decompression conditions in a pressure chamber. They had several such pressure chambers in the military region, but only one in working condition. It could contain no more than two persons.

Hence, local CO had forced four frogmen into the chamber. As a result, three of them (including the leader of the group) perished, and the rest became invalids – terrible consequences caused by the usual Soviet military bungling.

The major-general rushed to the Issik Kul to warn the local military against similar “devil-may-care” actions. Although the Issik Kul Lake is more shallow than the Baikal Lake, the depth of the former was sufficient to contain similar mysterious creatures.Did the major-general know something that Officer Shteynberg did not?

A short time later, the staff headquarters of the Turkmenistan military region had received an order from the Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces. The order consisted of detailed analysis of the Baikal Lake events and reprimands. It was supplemented by an information bulletin from the headquarters of the Engineer Forces of the Ministry of Defense, USSR. the bulletin listed numerous deepwater lakes where there had been registered sightings of anomalous phenomena: appearances of underwater creatures analogous to the Baikal type, descent and surfacing of giant discs and spheres, powerful luminescence emanating from the deep, etc.

Such documents, without exception, were highly classified and “for the eyes” of a very limited circle of military officers. The purpose [of]such documents was “to prevent unnecessary encounters….”

Not much is known about the alien that some have dubbed the stick alien. And the authenticity of the video is also not known. Either way though, it’s a pretty creepy looking thing that isn’t like most aliens that I see with the humanoid body, large head and big eyes.
