Background The above crop formation appeared in a farmer’s wheat field in Teton, Idaho on August 10, 2002. A yellow material was found on the hand of the farmer’s son after reaching into the formation on August 15, 2002. The arrow on the photograph designates the location of the material. The goal is to identify this substance. Conclusions The substance is a man-made terpolymer composed of styrene, acrylonitrile, and butadiene monomeric units. Background A cow was found mutilated in northern Utah (near Logan) in the fall of 2001. The object is to look for any components that should not be normally present in the animal. To accomplish this, samples of liver tissue, blood, and vitreous fluid from the mutilated animal were submitted for analysis. Background Orange brown colored materials were noted on the hands of an abductee (Ron Stroh, Tinton Falls, NJ) after two different abduction events on June 8, 1998 and February 3, 1999. The materials were collected for analysis in order to characterize them in hopes it will provide information relating to the purpose of the events. Conclusions 1. The infrared data from the residue identified as “original sample” shows it is a mixture of components composed of primarily protein amide material which compares to references of human skin.
