This photograph appears on the Facebook / Edge of Wonder Page, as posted on February 14, 2018. Although there may be an earlier post “source” — this post alone has nearly 15,000 shares and more than 1,500 likes at the time of this writing, it constitutes as “viral” and deserves a mention here.

Reason being, the photograph is a fairly provable fake. But, don’t let that stop the masses from “sharing” it with the world. Why? Well, it has to be real despite evidence to the contrary.  Why? Well, the post says it’s real. So, if you read it on the internet, it HAS to be true!

The Evidence

The Analysis

Doing a slight crop on the image, then conducting a reverse image search, multiple matches to an identical “apparition” are discovered.

First discovered, believed to be the source, is a graphite sketch appearing on moziru, and on a large list of artistic work using “Graphite” as the medium.

Second, is information about a music album in Spanish, entitled “Accidents – El Fantasma en mi” which has the following cover art:

Although there are slight variations between the two examples found on Google, the image in question above, of an apparition in Russia, is clearly an exact copy of the first example. Here is an overlay showing the image in question, vs. the first graphite drawing.

Both layers are on top of each other, which different color balances to differentiate between the two.

The hoaxer did skew the original artwork (they changed the aspect ratio) but it took only seconds to do the same thing in Photoshop, and see that the finger placement, body, etc. are a perfect/identical match.

Conclusion

With the evidence given above, this case is comfortably labeled a hoax.

Background

On December 29th, 2017 RT News Channel, reported on what some social media users in Lipeskt, Russia called a, “UFO”. Please see the RT Article titled, “UFO Traverses Night Sky”in Western Russia”: https://www.rt.com/news/414244-ufo-lightball-spotted-russia/

“First, there was a bright spot in the sky, then came the light – similar to that of a spotlight – and then it exploded. What was it?”, a witness to the Lipetsk sighting asked, as reported by RT.

A similar sighting was noticed and reported by many in Los Angeles, California and surrounding areas.

As reported by the New York Post and others news media on December 22, 2017, “A space satellite launch sparked a brief UFO scare in Los Angeles Friday night after startled viewers gawked at an unidentifiable streak of light soaring across the night sky.”

It turned out that the Los Angeles sighting was a Space X Falcon 9 Rocket Booster. The Los Angeles sighting is near identical in description and video accounts to the Lipetsk sighting and shares many of the performance characteristics that have been seen, videoed and photographed in sightings of similar nature around the world, which are usually near military and corporate launch pads.

The Analysis

In this case the videos and pictures say it all. This is some type of rocket that was seen under the correct circumstances that caused the object to illuminate. The “bright spot” followed by the “explosion” was almost certainly caused by the jettison of a Russian Rocket Booster. 

Further evidence is shown by a post on the popular Space.com website, archiving the space launch activity throughout the globe on specific dates.  On the day this sighting took place, Space.com reports on their Space Calendar:

Dec. 26: A Ukrainian Zenit rocket with a Russian Fregat upper stage will launch Angola’s first satellite, the AngoSat communications satellite, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

The Conclusion

The position of Kazakhstan in relation to Russia, coincides with the location of the sighting (just south of Western Russia) and potentially the flight path of the rocket.  The exact path and direction of this launch was not found for this report, but we feel confident that this solves this case, as the time and dates (and physical descriptions) match.

We believe that given the above evidence, we can mark this case as solved.

In a Russia Today TV interview, Admiral Vladimir Chernavin, the last Commander-in-Chief of the Soviet Navy and later of the Russian Navy, talked about Soviet-American relations, saying that the Americans “love power” and “refuse to recognize anyone who is not willing to use it.”

In the interview, which aired on October 25, 2015, Chernavin, who was former deputy minister of defense, said that the archives of the Soviet military navy had hundreds of reports of UFO sightings and that he himself had seen a UFO, which “assumed various forms, but mostly, looked like a round hat.”

An unknown object exploded in a suburb of the Russian city of Chita, with some saying it fell out of the sky.

The incident took place in the Ugdan village earlier on Thursday. “I heard an explosion and saw a huge pillar of black smoke around 11 or 12 a.m.,” Vladimir Milovanov told the local Altes TV channel. No one was injured in the explosion but a nearby building sustained minor damage.
Policemen collected scraps of metal from the crater left by the blast and sent them for testing.

“The object could not be identified. It does not resemble anything. One of the theories [of what happened]– gas balloon explosion,” the press service of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said

Stavropol’s horizon offered a jaw-dropping view to those who weren’t asleep at around 00:39 local time (21.39 GMT on Monday). The soundless flash of light scared several people, as it made some streetlights in the city go out, while being accompanied by the flickering of lights inside apartments and houses.

Local residents have come up with various theories to interpret the incident – military exercises that are currently taking place not far from the scene, faults in the electricity net, Northern Lights, an asteroid and even UFOs.

“I was very frightened by what I saw, I was already in bed. It looked as if something very bright lit up my ceiling,” a woman shared her experience on social media, Russian daily Argumenty i Fakty reported.

According to the Hydrometeorological Center of the city, the phenomenon “can’t be attributed to nature”– rather, it could be anthropogenic. The source of the light is thought to have been located somewhere on the ground.

However power engineers have rejected a version suggesting a fault in the power supply line leaving the public clueless about the nature of the mysterious flash.

Note from The Black Vault: It is my belief that cases like this are nothing more than a meteor entering the Earth’s atmosphere. In the past, we know (especially in and around Russia) there have been multiple cases of meteors lighting up the night sky, and even hitting the Earth’s surface.  In this case, you can clearly see a heavy cloud cover – so it is plausible this was a meteorite (shielded by the cloud cover) but the immense bright light still illuminates the night sky.

This is an incident that happened on Mt. Otorten in Russia’s Ural Mountains.  Many can take this case to the UFO/Alien Encounter vault or perhaps maybe the alma?  Who knows, but here is what went down for these 9 very experienced skiers/hikers that unfortunately never made it home and had horrific deaths.  They started their hike and on their 4th night out on the expedition they were forced due to weather to camp on a mountain known as the Mountain of the Dead.  I know what you are thinking right now…  Who the hell would honestly want to stay the night on a mountain named after the dead by locals….  Not this guy….

Ten days went by after that night.  They never showed up to their destination.  This involved the military hunting them down.  First question I would ask myself is if people do believe in phenomenon like this why would assume that they are benevolent beings.  There is no doubt in my own mind that these beings that did this are absolutely demonic or malevolent in nature.  An absolute distaste for human life.  This is some wicked stuff we are dealing with here.  You will soon find.

The hikers camp is found and the tent is utterly destroyed from the inside out.  But that isn’t the only thing thats going to be broken from the inside out on that night.  Something scared these poor hikers bad enough to flee the tent without boots.  Investigators at the scene say the tent was cut with knives to get out quickly.  So to me that is odd.  Something scared these experienced hikers enough to cut through this tent and run out into a freezing cold night with nothing but socks and some clothes on.  No animal or human tracks were scene anywhere except left by these poor souls.  Why is it in 2 months of these bodies sitting out in negative 20-40 degrees Fahrenheit do they look more decayed and ruined than a mammoth that has been frozen for thousands of years?

The hikers were found right outside a wood line and they look mutilated.  Look at those pictures and tell me something isnt right.  “Come, Watson, come! The game is afoot. Not a word! Into your clothes and come!”  Lets look at the facts.

1.) Some had radiation poisoning?!

2.) One had a missing tongue?!

3.) No eyes?!

4.) Orange skin!?

5.) Prematurely aged?! GRAY HAIR ON A BUNCH OF 20-37 YEAR OLD PEOPLE!

6.) Crushed bones causing them to fragment into ones heart!?! wait wait whaat?!!  no open skin wound on this one making it so the bones almost burst from the inside?!?!

7.)Microwaved bodies, fried shriveled insides, probably why there werent eyes..

Officially this went down as a hypothermia case…..  The poop people will believe. The chief investigator absolutely refused to sign off on hypothermia being the cause of death on the report and instead resigned his position.  One of the investigators was even taken out of the case because he was too thorough.

In the end all of deceased were buried in zinc coffins.  I am willing to bet they were actually lead to help with the radiation.  The case had been changed from death from exposure to a murder case and remains there to this day.

On the night of the hikers deaths locals remember seeing UFO’s that were emitting a bright orange light flying around.

The area was barred off later for 3 years not allowing skiers and hikers to go near there.

These are the hikers names.  There was a tenth one, but he left the first day in due to being ill.

Dead ‘alien’ found in Siberia snow

INCREDIBLE footage has emerged of what a group of Russians claim to be the remains of a mangled alien.

The lifeless ‘body’ was supposedly discovered lying in snow in the Irkutsk region of southern Siberia following reports of a UFO crash last month.

The ‘extra-terrestrial’ appears to have suffered horrific injuries — including the loss of one limb.

Shocked villagers had told of seeing a pink and blue glowing object hurtling towards the town before the ‘alien’ was found.

The bizarre reports were taken so seriously, they were investigated by the country’s Emergencies Ministry staff.

The mystery deepened when investigators said no aircrafts were reported in the area.

And search and rescue teams found no evidence of an aircraft crash.

The strange clip has now been seen by nearly 900,000 people since Sunday.

But cynical YouTube viewers have claimed it is an elaborate fake.

One blogger said: “This has got to be a hoax. Why do all aliens have to be naked.”

Siberian “Dead alien” fake

A video of what was claimed to be a mutilated alien corpse, which scored hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube, has turned out to be fake.

 

The tiny “dead alien” is just skin from chicken filled withbread, reports the website 7d.org.ua. Police questioned the men who claimed to have found the “body” and they allegedly confessed to creating it themselves.

 

The chief editor of the local Kabansk-Info newspaper initially thought that it was the body of an infant in the video and alerted the police. Officers immediately started the investigation and identified the alleged author.

 

They went to his house and asked him about the infant’s body. The scared man reportedly showed a fake alien corpse. It was even painted in “alien colors”. Scolding is the only possible punishment for such a stunt as it cannot be considered a crime, the report says.

 

The footage was taken near the village of Kamensk in the Russian republic Buryatia, just north of Lake Baikal, the file’s description said.

 

It showed what appeared to be a humanoid body less than a meter high with a skeletal big-eyed head and thin naked body. One of its legs was missing.

 

Emotional off-screen comments said the body was found a couple of hours before and was clearly very dead.

 

Local media reported there were numerous reports of UFO sightings in the area in March, some of them later attributed to bombing training at a nearby military range.

 

The video was uploaded on YouTube on April 14. Three days later it was translated into English and its popularity skyrocketed in the following days. It beat the one million benchmark on Tuesday.

Not much is known about the alien that some have dubbed the stick alien. And the authenticity of the video is also not known. Either way though, it’s a pretty creepy looking thing that isn’t like most aliens that I see with the humanoid body, large head and big eyes.
