The following case was submitted to The Black Vault / TBV Investigations on May 3, 2018. It was assigned to TBV Investigations’ researcher Monica Salazar for Analysis.

Witness Testimony

The following was submitted by the witness:

“I woke at 1:25 am, this was several months ago, maybe now a year or more. When I woke I first looked at the clock because I hate waking up in the middle of the night on a weeknight when I work. Then I caught through a crack in my blinds a very bright light of which I thought was the moon. So I peeked through the blinds and the moon was super bright! Though I was mostly asleep I was compelled to get up and get my phone out of my purse and open my blinds in the middle of the night, which I would usually never do because of the fear of someone there looking in. Where I live it is pitch black on my street with no street lights. But I still got the phone and opened the blinds to take a picture of the moon.

From the time I spotted the “moon” and then turned and walked about three steps and then back, I was surprised to see how much it had moved in the sky, and though I was still half asleep my mind did pick up on that it was moving out of the sky extremely quick. I was able to shoot two pictures before it disappeared behind trees and the horizon. I then went back to bed, though my dog was sitting at my side looking towards my bedroom door shaking. It was odd and noticed. The next day I went to check out the pictures I had taken. In the first, it was an expected picture of what I thought was the moon, blurry from taking it with my phone. The second picture, however, was something else, something I can’t explain. It is the same thing, what I thought was the moon, but clearly, it is not. Has anyone seen anything like this before? The Analysis

I emailed the witness a few times, she was very responsive, and she was able to provide additional pictures as requested. However, after several unanswered subsequent emails, I did attempt to phone the witness with no further contact.

My analysis is as follows to the best of my ability with the information given.

As the witness stated, she was woken up in the middle of the night to glowing lights outside her window. The witness also stated that it was odd for her to wake up at such a strange hour of the night. When analyzing the images provided by the witness you can clearly see a glowing white object. The images are a big grainy so it is hard to tell. The witness did state that she was zoomed in all the way 10x as her phone allowed her to.

One observation, is a similarity between the “striations” on the second photograph submitted, which coincide with the slats of the drop down blinds, and the vertical ‘string’ in the design of the blinds.   Here is a comparison image illustrating what may account for the pattern:

Also when speaking to the witness she stated the object was traveling at a slow speed headed west from what she believes is the south side.

In the images, you can see the object almost split, perhaps not all the way but you can clearly see a divisional pattern. At first glance, I believed this to be the mosquito net that most homes come with in every window. However, I did ask the witness to provide me with some daytime photos of the same window from the outside and the inside. From the images on the outside, you can see that there is nothing that would obstruct the camera in such a way that would create what was in the original images. In addition, the image from the inside it seems that the window this witness took the image from does not have mosquito net. At least not that I can tell from the images.

Conclusion

The witness, to the extent of my communication with her, was very credible and cooperative; she seemed to be genuinely interested in what she had captured. She even submitted the images to Onstellar in hopes of getting a clear answer as to what she had captures.

I will not deny the images are great and intriguing yet, they are very grainy and blurry it is truly hard to tell. I will not dismiss the idea of the object she captured to be from out of this world but without further tangible evidence, I would have to classify it as: Undetermined due to insufficient evidence.

Background

On October 22, 2016, this case was submitted to The Black Vault.  The photographer, submitted the following information:

“This picture was taken by my wife with a digital camera and tells me there was nobody around or behind when the photo was taken. She was also sat with 3 other people facing me that says the same.

I showed this pic to the hotel a few weeks after and they tell me of ghost activity in the hotel. I had the pic examined by a photographer that also says a ghost. I’m the one in the middle.

It was taken at the Holiday Inn, Leicester, built over a Roman garrison

Have any ideas on this?”

The case was turned over to TBV Investigations team member Jeremy Enfinger for analysis, who specializes in claims of ghost activity.

The Analysis

Metadata analysis indicates the image is the original file, however, EXIF metadata was not able to be extracted. The image was taken from a Samsung Model DV300, DV300F, or DV305F at the model’s maximum resolution of 4608 x 3456 pixels, using automatic exposure control with ISO 400, an exposure time of 1/8 sec and an F-stop of 2.5. With the jpeg quality being 94%, there is no indication that the image file has been compressed. The flash was fired during this exposure as well.

The time stamp on the metadata differs from the approximate date reported. According to the individual submitting the photo, it was taken around Christmas, 2015. The metadata indicates it was taken February 15, 2012 at 2:36 p.m. It should be noted, however, that if the camera owner did not set the time/date in the camera settings prior to this exposure, the metadata would not necessarily display accurate “modify date” information. It should also be noted that presence of Christmas decorations in the photo corroborates the individual’s report.

The Interview

After writing the initial report, on January 20, 2018, TBV Investigations team member Jeremy Enfinger conducted an interview with Shaun, the man who submitted the photograph.  He will be sending the actual camera to TBV Investigations for further testing, with hopes to try and reproduce the image using a multitude of settings and lighting situations, attempting to emulate the original setting.

Testing will be posted once it is completed.

General Observations

Aside from the Christmas decorations previously mentioned, ELA (error level analysis) shows similarities in texture of the anomaly with the background and close resemblance to some of the articles of clothing in the foreground. This similarity in texture implies there was no digital alteration of the photo in the area of interest around and including the anomaly. There is also stark contrast between the anomaly and light sources from within the field of view, and it blocks the light from the lamp (frame left), indicating the anomaly has mass and opacity through the clearly-visualized portions.

No notable indications of time/date found within the photograph. There’s a bottle of Whispering Hills Californian Chardonnay which began bottling in 2010, but no year is visible in the photo.

While the two men in the foreground (middle and left) have minimal red-eye effect from the flash, the man on right has moderate red-eye in the photo indicating his pupils were pointed directly toward the flash compared to the other two men in the foreground. The amount of red-eye for the anomaly is severe and more easily notable at a glance. This is inconsistent with the red-eye pattern of the men, and would typically indicate the subject would either be closer to the flash or looking more directly at the flash, neither of which seems to be the case give the direction it seems to be facing and physical location in the room, leaving some question about how this was accomplished. However, when examining the reflection of the flash in each of the subjects’ eyes, the angle of reflection is consistent with the men in the foreground and the anomaly, suggesting physical presence during the flash consistent with the angle/location of the photographer.

The anomaly does not possess the same RGB color values, and this section of the image appears to be desaturated compared to the rest of the photo, though some color is present. There is motion blur in a horizontal pattern surrounding the anomaly, but clear facial features are seen within the anomaly without motion. Initial observation was to suspect digital manipulation, but metadata contradicts this suspicion. It is possible to manipulate the metadata, but it would need to be intentionally done and knowledge of how to do this is not common.

Light reflection patterns are consistent in the anomaly compared to that of subjects in the foreground, however, there are shadows present at the edges of the anomaly that are not present with subjects in the foreground, indicating a discrepancy in how the room light interacts with the anomaly. Parts of the anatomy cannot be seen posterior to the facial anatomy, and appear transparent where the background is clearly visualized where anatomical features should be seen.

Conclusion

At first glance, my opinion was that this photo visibly appears to be digitally edited, however, there is evidence to suggest that the anomalous figure was in the room during the exposure. If it was hoaxed, someone would have had to go through great lengths to modify the metadata on the original image following photomanipulation, which generally would show on the ELA analysis and/or reduce the quality post-compression. Or someone found a way to take a photograph of a doctored photo/sample, which would possess accurate metadata, though I found no evidence of this.

Additionally, it’s possible that someone may have walked into the frame during exposure. With a 1/8 second exposure, a blur effect might be possible depending on how fast that person would be walking, but the blur should be consistent throughout the image of that person, not only in certain areas. It would also not explain the desaturation in color of the anomaly.

I would recommend further testing of the camera to include the features “split shot”, “motion photo” and “artistic brush”. It is possible the effects appreciated may have been added by mistake. I was not able to test this model of camera myself.

Given the red-eye appearance, the desaturation of the anomaly, the blurred edges (and clear facial features), the resemblance to Photoshop’s clone tool effect, and shadow discrepancies, there are enough indications to suspect some level of alteration. The problem is I can’t seem to find any evidence of manipulation given the data available. It is my opinion that this photo is authentic, however, I am unable to explain the anomaly or its features.

Currently, the photograph is with other photo analysts for evaluation, and results will be posted.

Research image analyst Kenn Raymond, owner of VDI Spectral Art, decided to do his own independent analysis on the photograph above.  We were very intrigued by Kenn’s findings, because after extensive analysis, Kenn concluded the image to be an unknown, but did find a possible clue (as of 5/17/18 is still being researched) that shows the metadata lists the “number of images” as 2, indicating a possible double exposure.

Description: I came home from work and was walking toward my apartment after parking my car. I saw two lights in the sky moving from the east. I took some pictures and then the lights disappeared.

Update – February 3, 2016 – Response From Witness Regarding Submission of Additional Photos: So sorry for the late response. I have been very sick with the flu and was recently hospitalized for it.

So I looked on your site and you put the green kind of boxy looking UFO up, but not the purple one. I tried to find the original of the purple, but may have accidently erased it. (I was transferring pictures from one laptop to a newer laptop & I think I lost some pictures in the process.) However, with that being said, I do appreciate the comment on your site that said you didn’t think it was a fabricated photo.

Yes, I absolutely did crop the picture because I could barely see it. But I never do anything else and I would never send you any hoaxed picture. Your way too smart for that! You have been dealing with this subject for a long time now and I’m quite sure you could pick up the fakes fairly quickly! I was surprised I didn’t see the purple one on your site!

To me, the purple was far more interesting than the green one and you also said I sent you two pictures but only one had a picture on it. I didn’t remember sending a second picture.

Maybe I did, but I wouldn’t want to send you blank pictures. In searching for my original, I found other UFO pictures I took all in the same month. I have attached several pictures and if you find any you are interested in, I could send in an official report through your site. Many of the pictures are completely unedited, some not even cropped.

I am still looking for the original to the purple UFO, but I did find the original of the green one you posted on your site. It is attached along with the other pictures.

Radar Analysis and Computation Worksheet
Hanford, WA sighting of Large Orange Objects

Background: 2 Washington State Department of Corrections (DOC) Officers saw bright orange lights for around 50 seconds between 9:52 and 9:57 PM on Oct 18, 2015. The lights were sighted in a southwesterly direction. The lights were larger than yard lights and were about 25 to 30 degrees above the horizon.

The officers were traveling south on Highway 395 between Connell and Mesa, WA.

James Clarkson MUFON Director for Washington State received the sighting report and requested assistance with analysis of radar data. In response to this request I wrote a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requesting aviation radar data for the Pasco, WA (Tri-cities) area.

I received the radar data submission from the FAA about 2 months later (December 18, 2015).  The FAA provided the data that I requested.

Notes on Radar Data: The radar data were received for Pasco, WA Traffic Control and a NTAP (National Transportation Analysis Program) was also received. The NTAP included a long range radar from Fossil, Oregon which is about 100 miles south of Pasco, WA and the Pasco, WA Traffic Control radar.  (See Figure One to the left).

The closest returns on radar were about 18 miles to the southwest (near Pasco, WA airport). (See Figure Two below.)  The interesting thing about the data in Figure Two is that the Pasco radar report listed that returns were “target reports.” This suggests that data were filtered and weather returns, gr0und traffic, birds and radar angels were removed. This suggests that the remaining returns were actual moving aerial targets.  All of the primary returns are shown in Figure Two below.  A typical “unfiltered” radar map is shown in Figure Three below. The radar map in Figure Three is for Albany, New York.  You can see A “conglomerate” of returns and it is difficult to determine real moving targets while Figure Two shows small patterns of returns.

We can’t definitively say for sure if the radar picked up the objects seen by the witnesses, but we can say that radar returns were in the direction (southwest) and at the time (9:50 to 10 PM) that the witnesses saw the objects. The radar returns were around 18 miles from the estimated witness location and near the Pasco radar. (See Figure Four below.) Figure Four shows the area of returns and a zoom in showing the speed and direction of movement of the returns.

The zoom in box to the left is for returns detected from 9:50 to 9:51 PM. For the box to the left there were six radar returns in sequence.  The target was moving slowly east, then abruptly changes direction to the south-southwest at a higher speed and then turned east-southeast at original speed (38 MPH).  One can’t say for sure if each return represents the same target, but the targets were in sequence with each turn of the radar antenna. The targets were not detected after 9:51 PM.

The zoom in box to the right shows returns from 9:54 to 9:55 PM. The box to the right fits more closely with the witness observation time.  Again the speed of the target is slow (38 to 48 MPH) and moving to the west-southwest. The target then turned direction to the northwest and nearly increased it’s speed tenfold. Again we can’t say for sure if this is one target, but it  fits with the radar antenna rotation sequence. The direction of movement (westerly direction ) fits with what the witnesses saw. The targets were no longer detected after 9:55 PM.

Of course the targets could have been multiple targets, but may have showed up as one target on the radar scope if they were close together. The witnesses observed multiple targets.

There were also returns noted in the same area observed by the witnesses before the sighting time, but the witnesses would not have been in position to observe the returns.

Doppler weather radar data were collected from Portland, Oregon and Spokane, Washington. Both of these radars reach the Pasco, WA area.  Some light showers were observed a few hours prior to the sighting. Skies were clear at Pasco Airport at the time of the sighting. The Doppler radar maps did not show anything unusual. The radar sites did show some scattered showers, but the area was well removed from the sighting area. However, Doppler radars are not designed to detect aircraft. The radars have a narrow beam width (one degree) which means that objects will not be detected unless they happen to fly through the narrow beam.

The discussion below makes the assumption that the object(s) seen by the witnesses were detected by radar:

One of the officers said that his thumb would cover up the object. A thumb has a width of 2 arc degrees. (The moon has a width of 30 arc minutes which is about 25% the size of a thumb in apparent width.)  Let’s assume that the object had a width of 1 arc degrees:

Using trigonometry the width of the object would be around 1,650 feet if what the witnesses saw was detected by radar. For comparison purposes the length of a 747 aircraft is 231 feet with a wingspan of 211 feet.

The witnesses thought that the object(s) were at an elevation of 20 to 30 degrees. For computations we will assume that the elevation was 25 degrees. If we assume that the primary radar returns belonged to the object we can say the following:

Using trigonometry if the radar returns represented the object, the elevation would have just over 44,000 feet.

If the returns represent what the witnesses saw the objects would have been quite large and would have been very visible from the Pasco, WA area.  The fact that the time of the sighting was late (around 10 PM on a Sunday night before the week) and the fact that the objects were only visible for a short time may have resulted in fewer (in any) witnesses.  Also there is a possibility that the objects may have appeared larger to the witnesses due to light scattering in the atmosphere which can make objects appear bigger. This is particularly true if objects are lower on the horizon (25 degrees or lower).

Conclusion and Summary:

2 DOC officers saw 2 large orange objects to the Southwest while returning home from work around 10 PM on October 18, 2015.  The officers were near Connell, WA and were returning to the Tri-Cities area. The officers had never before or have since seen the lights.

The lights were near the Hanford Nuclear Facility in Richland, Washington.

Aviation radar data were heavily filtered which eliminates most superfluous returns (birds, weather, ground targets, angels, etc.)
Radar targets were detected in the direction and times when the witnesses saw the objects. The distance was large (around 18 miles).

The radar targets were only visible for 2 periods of time (9:50-9:51 PM & 9:54-9:55 PM) of around one minute. This is consistent with the brief time that the witnesses saw the objects. The radar targets were in a southwesterly direction which is where the witnesses saw the objects.

The targets were moving in a westerly direction at speeds of 38 to 48 MPH and then accelerated to over 300 MPH before vanishing from the scope. The radar detected this from 9:54 to 9:55 PM. This is consistent with the direction of movement reported by the witnesses and closest to the time (9:52 to 9:57 PM).

If the targets represent what the witnesses saw the objects would have flying around 44,000 feet and would have been over 1,500 feet in width.

The witnesses saw multiple targets. Perhaps the targets were so close to one another that the radar only painted one return?

The targets were close to Pasco Airport. One would think that others would have witnessed the objects if the radar targets represented what the witnesses saw due to their large size and proximity to the Pasco area.

Description: Hello:
I have just sent you an email that contains a video I captured about two weeks ago on my phone. The video was originally lost in the storage sense area, and I believed the video to have not even been recorded until I happened to find it about a week ago. I tried to send you an email and attach the video. However the file was too large and it wouldn’t send. It said to share with “one drive”, which I hadn’t done before, so I am not sure how it worked out, or if it said it was sent from my email address, etc. Please let me know if you have received the video, and any thoughts, comments, etc. regarding the strange objects. I will attach to this email some still shots captured from the video when it was paused and zoomed in. The first photo is the strobing star thing and the strange floating object underneath was not seen by eye, just on screen, and seems to morph. The second photo shows that the object has moved from underneath the strobing thing directly and is now directly down to the right.

Second Report From Witness: This video was recorded at 4 AM about two weeks ago. I have severe anxiety which tends to keep me up at night. On this particular night, it was a bad attack. I was out of cigarettes and I had my fiancé go to the gas station to buy me some. Before he left, he called me outside to look at a strange, very large and close “star” which seemed to be strobing multiple colors. Immediately, I took out my phone to record, and on the screen I noticed something strange seemed to be floating directly underneath, though I was unable to see this in the sky, only seeing the strobing object. After I had recorded the video, I scrolled back to show him what I had captured, and the video was not there! About a week ago, I noticed that some of the pictures I had taken of my puppy weren’t there after I took them. I searched my phone, and found in the “storage sense” area of my phone (a Nokia Lumia) that the pictures were somehow being sent there instead of saving in their normal album. I also saw that there were some videos, and was shocked to see that the video of the strobing star was there as well! I have watched this video numerous times, even slowing it down, zooming in, etc. I eventually even noticed that there are “hidden frames”, in which you can see actual triangular light formations and what appears to be a circular “ship”. I am not sure what type of technology you have for viewing these things, but any help would be much appreciated, as I would really love to have insight as to what this thing really is.

Note: Like all night videos this video is difficult to analyze. Attempts to change brightness and contrast did not reveal any useful information.

Update – Oct 19, 2015: Analyst David Mason writes: After reviewing the video of the shape changing UFO it’s difficult to make any significant conclusions. The AGC of the video camera was at maximum thus giving image/frame stacking producing time lag which can generate an image that appears to shape shift while a camera is shaking. This image stacking can generate artifacts when directed at a relatively small light source and can be mistaken for something unusual when a video is reviewed.There is severe clipping of the video background as no details can be resolved through extensive histogram stretching. The audio is not present even after using 50 dB of gain. Sometimes the significance of removed audio and video clipping indicates editing.

Although that can happen when video and audio is converted or stored with non compatible formats.

Some cameras will clip a dark background if it falls below a predetermined threshold of CCD and gain noise.

There’s not enough video resolution or enough tangible information from the witness report to confirm the identity of the object.

More Comments From David Mason: This shape shifting UFO video may not be worth further investigation. The object could have been a star or distant aircraft heading directly toward the observer. The elongation of the object could have been the result of debris on the small sized phone lens. Shape shifting can appear to occur when a phone camera is at maximum AGC. There’s just not enough detail to resolve anything noteworthy even if there was audio or if it was shown in standard speed. I did speed up the video in my software, but that did not help.

Time of Sighting: 5:20 PM Local Time

Description: I am 30 years old and I am from Norway. On Saturday October 10, 2015 I had an experience that I cannot explain. I was a passenger in a car and on my way home from a course in a location called Asker.

I suddenly became aware of a very bright cigar formed object on the sky. Right behind the object a smaller object of the same shape occurred. I was looking at these two objects and I was trying to understand what it was. It was so big, but with no wings and suddenly it disappeared. I was looking around in the sky trying to find it, but the sky was empty. Five Seconds later it suddenly appeared again in the sky, but this time in a new shape and much, much closer to the car I was sitting in. It was V-shaped and upside down if you understand. It was very white and bright but no lights. It was V shaped upside Down and squared like boxes. So I had a 3D sight of it. It was not just a flat thing on the sky, it had mass. (This is in the middle of the day). Behind the biog V it was a smaller V hanging. I was looking at this thing and I was trying to make sense out of it, but I could not understand what it was.

My friend who was driving the car did not see it because she was looking at the road. I was planning to tell her to turn her head around to look at it, but I could not make myself tell her to look. I felt paralyzed by the sight and I was to busy in my head trying to find out what this thing was. And then suddenly it disappeared! The sky was empty again. The big, huge thing was just gone.

When I came home I started to look up pictures on Google and I found this web page with the Woman and her 21 year old son telling her story that is similar to mine. The shape is the same I guess, but the object I saw was an upside down V. And I did see a cigar shaped object first and then it suddenly became V shaped after disappearing and reapparing again. I am just looking for answers. Do you have more information about others seeing stuff like this V shaped thing that I did see this weekend? I have never seen anything like this. The thing was just hanging in the sky. I am just confused. I will be happy if you got more stories like this.

PS: I also attached a drawing on what I did see. Ha ha it is not the best drawing, but this is the best I can do.

Description: The witness called and reported his encounter about 4 months after it occurred.

He had been in bed and woke up and saw an entity in his room. The entity was gray colored, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and had humanlike attributes.

The witness got up and let his dog outside. He at once saw a triangular UFO hovering near his home. He also saw a little girl while outside. When he went inside he saw a figure through the glass in the door that looked like the entity he saw when he awoke in his room.

He rushed down to his mother’s bedroom and crawled through a fireplace to reach it. Next he remembers something “talking” to him through his head.

Then he heard all windows opening. He said that everything went white after that.

He next remembers waking up the next morning. He recalled that his tongue was very dry. He also recalled some shaking to the point that he thought that an earthquake occurred.

He discussed the experience with his parents the next morning. This is not the first experience that the witness has had.

The witness is mentally sound and does not take drugs. He has been diagnosed with ADHD and sometimes takes medication for it. However, he was not taking medication the night of his encounter.

Description: My daughter and I observed three or four orange glowing shapes moving diagonally from behind the apartment buildings in the Rock creek Park Area by the Duke Ellington Bridge in DC. We saw this from our apartment in Washington, DC 20009 at 11:42-11:45 PM on May 9, 2015. We also saw a cluster of bright white lights in the distance to the left that were still at first and then glided out of sight.

I have five more pictures and a video that is very spotty, but you can see the objects moving up to the sky especially if you zoom in. I don’t know if these are UFOs, but my pictures look very much like pictures we viewed online yesterday. Thank you.

Description: I was staying at the Valley Motel in Room 24 on the end. I went outside to smoke a cigarette and saw a blinking light floating towards the road. I got my phone camera. I started the first video on the side of Jacksboro high to film the one.

Then I noticed as it went across the street there were a lot more. I saw one man walking across street and asked him what those were. He said they were satellites, but he didn’t know and walked off. I filmed the one that hovered above the street light. Halfway through the 12 minute video I got a chance to run across street and film the other half. I only filmed there that long because I was being yelled at by manager asking what I was doing.

I said you don’t see them? The poor old man couldn’t. He made me go in. I tried to upload the video, but it was too big by mobile phone so I went back out and saw took small couple second video and 3 stills. The manager said that the police were called because I was in the street.

I went inside. It was about 20 minutes before the police came and the video is not the best.

I was worried I was going to jail and looked over the officers and I saw one, and said look see it.

And they did look. They put in their report that I was looking at night sky. They left and I watched in the door for about 10 more minutes.

The manager made me go back in.

Description: The witness (Toby) was walking around the Rattlesnake Lake with a hiking companion. They at once saw a bright light at about a 20 degree angle above the horizon to the west. The light became very bright and grew to about 1/4 the size of a full moon. The light would then get dim to the point that it almost would vanish. Then it would brighten again and then dim again. The light repeated this pattern for about 40 minutes. The light was mostly hovering and was moving very little. No sound was heard and some other aircraft were seen in the area. There were a few clouds in the sky and then the sky became cloudy. The light was actually visible through the clouds. The witnesses left the hiking area after about 40 minutes and then returned. At that time the object was observed to be straight up at 90 degrees. At one point during the sighting the witness could see a black outline when the light dimmed. The object was lost when the cloud cover thickened. Some light snow flurries were in the area and temperature was a chilly 37 degrees. The witness remarked that the skies were so bright that they didn’t need a flashlight to see to walk.UFOs NorthWest Note: The witness was quite familiar with aircraft and knew that the object was not a helicopter. (Because there were no flashing lights and there was no sound.) The object was not a planet because it changed luminosity and eventually moved overhead from the west. The object was not a satellite because it didn’t move fast enough. The object was likely not a hot air balloon because it was the wrong color (the color was white rather than yellow-orange which is the colors emitted by hot air balloons). The enhanced photo above does not look like a hot air balloon. Perhaps the object could have been a high altitude balloon? A check of winds aloft showed that winds were from the West to West-Northwest at 10 to 20 knots in the lower 10,000 feet of the atmosphere. The object moved from 20 degrees over the Western horizon to 90 degrees (straight up). A flotation device would move in this direction with a westerly (and light) wind component. Also Google is implementing a program called “Project Loon” where stratospheric balloons will deliver 4G cell phone service to areas devoid of coverage. However, Google is testing these balloons in foreign countries so it is unlikely to be an explanation for this sighting. Also the North Bend, WA area (near sighting location) is close to Seattle and has adequate cell phone and internet service.

The lights at times would form a circle and were visible for over an hour. The lights did not flash and were much bigger than the surrounding stars. Skies were clear at the time of the sighting. No sound was heard. One witness thought that he saw some smoke near the lights.

Description: It looked like a stationary white light or orb on the edge of a chem-trail. If you zoom this photo in all the way, it looks like a grey metallic diamond shape behind a cloak of light in front of the object. I have 3 more photos of this object.

Response of Witness to Investigation Questions: Hi: Yes, I saw the object and took the photos. Did you zoom it in all the way and see what I was talking about? It was a grey metallic diamond shape object obscured by light or cloaked by the same color as the chem-trail clouds? You have to zoom these in all the way as well. In the first photo you can see an oblong circle around the light on the edge of the chem-trail. The 2nd photo is more obvious. Still zoom in all the way. Zoom it in until it’s just the object. It’s somewhat impressive and puzzling.

UFOs NorthWest Note: The witness took several photos of the object. He also observed the object. The photos were taken at very high resolution. The object appears to be spherical in shape until it is enlarged. Enlargement reveals a somewhat asymmetrical triangular shape. It appears that the triangular shape was surrounded by material of a light color and circular shape? The witness said that the object was of diamond shape. THE OBJECT IS NOT THE PLANET VENUS AS IT WAS NOT VISIBLE AT THE TIME OF THE PHOTO AND SIGHTING.
