Wildlife Trafficking Symposium, June 2016

Background

Faced with a rise in wildlife crimes around the world, the Presidential Task Force on Wildlife Trafficking, co-chaired by the Departments of State, Interior and Justice, hosted a symposium at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s William Allder Auditorium in Springfield, Virginia, June 28-29 of 2016.

The Black Vault filed a FOIA request on July 15, 2016, for all the symposium handouts given at the event. It would take nearly FIVE YEARS, but the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) finally released the records in May of 2021 (the letter is erroneously marked 2020).
