Using just the video evidence and no further contact with the witness since initial report submission, I will attempt to identify what the witnesses observed based on the following facts along with the witness statement.

The footage provided makes it difficult to ascertain direction, height, speed or reference for scale. 

My first approach was to scan the metadata contained within the video, all seems ok and intact.

The video shows a cluster of white and red lights with a flashing sequence. In my opinion they closely resemble aircraft lights and if you listen carefully you can hear some aircraft engine noise. The light formation and flashing sequence indicate landing / takeoff lights.

Google Maps was used to locate the witness sighting position, and to search the local area for airports.

Stellarium was used for the night sky date of 08/02/2018 5:00 AM to check for celestial objects. Direction of sighting unknown, therefore N,E,S,W images are included. See images below.

Flight Radar historical data could be used in this case, however the direction of the sighting is unknown.

Conclusion

Based on the witness description and video evidence, I am inclined to say this is likely an aircraft either in approach to land or climbing after takeoff from one of the airports around Springfield, Ohio.

Background

The following case file report was written by TBV Investigations’ researcher Jim Kerr.

On October 28^th, 2018, at approx 4:23 am, Esteban Zavala posted a live video to Instagram showing what he stated to be 5 UFO’s hovering over the city of Rosarito, Baja California. It was a foggy early morning in Rosarita with multiple illuminated objects that appeared to be hovering approx 100 ft above the ground. Later that day Zavala posted the same Instagram video titled, “UFO’s Hovering in Rosarito 2018”, to his YouTube channel named Esteban Zavala, (refer to the link below under credits). Within hours, Zavala’s video footage went viral worldwide across the internet, re-posted on UFO YouTube channels, UFO Blogs, Facebook, Twitter and more.

On November 6, 2018, John Greenewald, creator of “The Black Vault,” shared with his team of UFO Investigators an article titled, “One of the best UFO sightings filmed lately” which included Zavala’s video footage. We all viewed the video and came to the unanimous conclusion that what Zavala videoed were in fact street lights.

Even though the objects in Zavala’s video had already been solved and determined as street lights, we at TBV Investigations are publishing this information not only to educate the public but for necessary archival reference material.  Our report is important documentation regarding how easy one can mistake street lights in foggy weather conditions for Flying Saucers, especially newly designed and installed circular LED street lights.

The Evidence

Witness Zavala’s written statement from his YouTube Channel.

“Today October 28, 2018, I witness 5 UFOs hovering over Rosarito, Baja California MX. At around 4:23 am I was driving back to San Diego, California with my grandmother. We were having a normal conversation when she suddenly went mute and all she could do was point at the sky. I look up and see 5 of these things hovering over homes and the beach. I pulled over and immediately went live on Instagram to avoid speculations of video editing and such. Share your thoughts.”

Investigative journalist, Ales Backman, is credited for determining these alleged Flying Saucers were new circular LED street lights recently installed for illuminating a recently constructed highway interchange along highway 1D.

Backman drove to Rosarito and videoed the location of the lights.

Conclusion

After watching Zavala’s complete unedited video on his YouTube Channel, I truly believe he and his mother believed they witnessed multiple UFO’s over the town of Rosarito, Baja California. It is important to note that they were not traveling on the main highway 1D but a side road in foggy weather conditions. Had they been driving along highway 1D, I believe they would have seen that the lights were in fact highway lights.

I find it very sad that so many so-called UFO researchers and individuals on social media capitalized and exploited this video footage claiming the objects were real Flying Saucers. The aforementioned is a real problem in Ufology today and casts s a bad light on legitimate researchers. It is our goal at TBV Investigations to inform and educate the public and to reduce the exploitation of misidentified UFO sightings.

MERIDA, Yucatan – Cases involving people traveling in commercial airliners and seeing UFOs in flight are not few. In Yucatan there are at least three such reports: In one of these, a pilot was unable to publicly remark on the event due to his company’s strictures, which forbid employees to discuss certain matters on account of privacy and confidentiality.

The pilot remarked that during a flight from Mexico City to Merida, he was about to land at the airport of the Yucatan’s capital city when he suddenly saw an unidentified flying object that could not be seen by the control tower’s radar. “I could see it physically beside the airplane, a sort of flying saucer, similar to the ones shown on videos or even television. I couldn’t believe it, much less that the radar couldn’t pick it up.

I calculate that it was 300 meters distant, and judging by the size I could see, it had a radius of 10 meters at least,” he explained.

He added: “I had already heard other reports from my fellow pilots on other flights, but like many, I wouldn’t believe until I saw one. I had also heard cases in which passengers had reported them, but to tell you the truth, we didn’t pay them much attention. I reject the likelihood that it could have been a bird or any other ordinary object. The technology they have must be impressive to have been so near me, yet undetectable by the airplane’s radar or the control tower’s radar. When it took off, it did so at lightspeed and upward.

“I was quite fortunate to see this. I was moved to tell many people who don’t believe in the UFO phenomenon, but the company does not allow it. Several years have gone by and I don’t work there anymore, so I can say it openly. Without question, there’s another world watching us, as I believe Pedro Ferriz used to say, and we don’t want to realize it,” he concluded.” Airports and UFOs

Airports in Mexico City and all over the world are among the places where many UFO sightings have occurred. However, air traffic controllers, pilots and other personnel working in these facilities are under orders not to make it known to avoid causing panic among the population.

There are cases that have filtered through, or rather, cases in which civilian personnel have been witnesses. One of these cases occurred a little over a decade ago in the airport located at Kaua (Eastern Yucatan) where residents frequently report strange lights prowling these areas.

At first they thought the lights were part of airport operations, but soon realized this was not the case when they spoke with airport personnel, and upon discovering that these lights in the sky were coming closer and closer to the municipality and made no noise whatsoever despite flying at low altitude.

When witnesses are asked to provide descriptions, they point out that these were metallic objects measuring around two or three meters in circumference, making irregular movements, noiseless, and leaving the area vertically at high speed after circling the town. One eyewitness account that bolsters the residents of Kaua comes from retired pilot Martin Campos Faber, currently living in Cancun, and who notes that he had to make some private trips to Kaua a few years ago.

“Shortly before landing, I saw two strange vehicles, some UFOs, surrounding us. I won’t deny that they caused me panic, as I thought the worse about having them so near me. But suddenly, they vanished into nothing. They took off at high speed, approached as if looking for something, or perhaps they made a mistake, and took off immediately. I can’t find another explanation for it,” he notes.

Note from The Black Vault: This case is circulating on the internet as Ruta Sur Cerrito, Mexico. Other sites have it in Argentina.  I was not able to find reference to that city in either Mexico or Argentina. If anyone can clarify this, I would greatly appreciate it! 

Day – March 19, 2015 12.30 pm approx. I finished my lunch after a morning of work and I had a few minutes to shoot pictures on the Ruta Sur Cerrito.

I spotted this object clearly from the patio of my casa.

I had taken about 150 pictures and I started to go over them to see what all I had.

The object I captured on photo is not conventional, has considerable size and was flying a route from south to north.

Photo is somewhat fuzzy, object perhaps is circular (ovoid) and has in the top center of what appears to be spheres or colored balls.

I am leaving the decision on what this is to those who study these things. The location is west and somewhat north of Mexico City.

Reports are popping up stating that the Mexican Government is prepared, and going to, release proof of  extraterrestrial life and ancient space travel. Recently released Mayan artifacts seem to show what look like flying disc shaped ships, along with alien entities, and will be showcased in an upcoming documentary.

The artifacts date back 1300 years and if proven real would be very definitive proof that we are not alone in the cosmos as intelligent beings, and that space travel has been around for well over 1000 years.

A short film called Revelations Of The Mayans touches on some detail on some of these artifacts. Produced by Raul Julia-Levy, he states that the documentary makers worked in collaboration with the Mexican Government for ‘the good of mankind’, with the order to collaborate on the project coming direct from the president.

[1] The two circles near the center of the artifact appear to be earth. [2] This appears to be a spacecraft of some type. [3] This appears to be a massive comet or asteroid headed toward earth. [4] Appears to be a specially designed spacecraft capable of deflecting a large comet or meteor, such as NASA “Deep Impact”.

[5]  Appears to be an astronaut in control of a craft. [6] What appears to be an intelligently controlled spacecraft.
