Back in 2007, the CIA released the below document, heavily redacted.<\/p>\n
Since nearly a decade had passed, in June of 2017, I requested a Mandatory Declassification Review (MDR) of the record, believing that since so much time had passed, and there had been significant changes in politics and the world, I felt additional information could potentially be released to the public.<\/p>\n
Sadly, on 1 August 2017, the CIA decided to simply send a copy of the previously released record reviewed in 2007. \u00a0What is frustrating, is that my letter clearly stated I was not seeking a copy of this previously released record, but rather, was requesting another review in 2017.<\/p>\n
I have archived the document below for reference, however, I have submitted an appeal, as I consider this not responsive to my actual request, which asked for the following (in part):<\/p>\n
This is a request for a mandatory declassification review (MDR), under the terms of Executive Order 12958, as amended, of the following document(s):<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n THE JONATHAN JAY POLLARD ESPIONAGE CASE: A DAMAGE ASSESSMENT \u2013 30 October 1987.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n I believe the record has been partially released before, but it has been many years since it has been reviewed.
