The bombings killed three people and reportedly injured as many as 264 others. \u00a0Tsarnaev was half-Chechen and half-Avar. \u00a0He came to the United States in 2004. At the time of the bombings, Tsarnaev was an aspiring boxer who authorities believe had recently become a follower of radical Islam.<\/p>\n<p>I discovered in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theblackvault.com\/documentarchive\/congressional-correspondence-with-the-federal-bureau-of-investigation-fbi\/\">Congressional Correspondence Logs<\/a>, the FBI had correspondence with Senators McCain and Levin regarding\u00a0Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his connection to terrorism prior to the Boston Bombings.<\/p>\n<p>When I filed a FOIA request in March of 2015 for these communications (FOIA Case\u00a01325527-000), I was told there were &#8220;no records&#8221; regarding my request.
