In March of 2018, The Black Vault filed a FOIA request (case 1401549-000) to the FBI for the following:<\/p>\n

“… all e-mails sent to or from, Director of the FBI James Comey, which contain the word ‘TRUMP’. I ask that you conduct a search for records dating from 1\/1\/16 to 5\/9\/17.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The request was originally rejected as being too broad, so an appeal was submitted (case DOJ-AP-2018-005587) on May 25, 2018. There was no final response received from this case, however, nearly 1,600 pages were released on April 2024 relating to the original filing.<\/p>\n

In essence, the appeal was likely granted (unclear why The Black Vault was never notified), and the records were processed.<\/p>\n

The case is still open seeking out additional records, however, the initial near 1,600 pages are available below.<\/p>\n
