Former FBI Director James Comey Emails With Keyword: Trump

In March of 2018, The Black Vault filed a FOIA request (case 1401549-000) to the FBI for the following:

“… all e-mails sent to or from, Director of the FBI James Comey, which contain the word ‘TRUMP’. I ask that you conduct a search for records dating from 1/1/16 to 5/9/17.”

The request was originally rejected as being too broad, so an appeal was submitted (case DOJ-AP-2018-005587) on May 25, 2018. There was no final response received from this case, however, nearly 1,600 pages were released on April 2024 relating to the original filing.

In essence, the appeal was likely granted (unclear why The Black Vault was never notified), and the records were processed.

The case is still open seeking out additional records, however, the initial near 1,600 pages are available below.

Former Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew E-Mails

Jacob Joseph Lew (born August 29, 1955) is an American attorney and politician who served as the 76th United States Secretary of the Treasury from 2013 to 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, he also served as the 25th White House Chief of Staff from 2012 to 2013 and Director of the Office of Management and Budget in both the Clinton Administration and Obama Administration.

Office of Government Ethics (OGE) E-Mails of Seth Jaffe

While at OGE, Seth Jaffe worked on a detail for a year as an Ethics Advisor in the White House Counsel’s Office. Seth joined OGE after practicing civil rights and constitutional law. After graduating cum laude from Duke University School of law, Seth began his career working as a litigation associate for Curtis MalletPrevost Colt & Mosle, a large New York City law firm. Immediately prior to joining the Office of Government Ethics, Seth served as Acting Deputy General Counsel and Director of EEO Programs at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. In addition, Seth worked as the Managing Attorney for the ACLU of North Carolina where he represented clients in both state and federal court.

The Black Vault filed various requests on Mr. Jaffe’s e-mail box after the 2016 campaign for various keywords.

James Clapper E-Mails Containing Keyword “Bilderberg”

James Robert Clapper Jr. (born March 14, 1941) is a retired lieutenant general in the United States Air Force and is the former Director of National Intelligence. Clapper has held several key positions within the United States Intelligence Community. He served as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) from 1992 until 1995. He was the first director of defense intelligence within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and simultaneously the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. He served as the director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) from September 2001 until June 2006. On June 5, 2010, President Barack Obama nominated Clapper to replace Dennis C. Blair as United States Director of National Intelligence. Clapper was unanimously confirmed by the Senate for the position on August 5, 2010.

Below, you will find e-mails sent to/from James Clapper, which contain the keyword “Bilderberg.”

Note: What turned up were numerous newsletters from a mailing list. It is likely that it was an unsolicited subscription for James Clapper, and these e-mails came up with the keyword requested.

Federal Election Commission (FEC) E-Mails, 2017 Release of Various Keyword Searches

The following was a 2019 release of internal FEC e-mails. The request was filed in July of 2017, and modified in September of 2019 to exclude unsolicited e-mails and attachments. The request was for a search of FEC e-mail accounts, that contain the following keywords:

“autocrat, autocratic, blowhard, bombastic, buffoon, crazy , dangerous, egomaniac, egotistical, immature, infantile, insane, irresponsible, laughingstock, lunatic, misogynist, narcissism, narcissist, opportunist, sociopath, sociopathic, unbefitting, undignified, unhinged, vulgar, vulgarian, whack”

Background

The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) can be a powerful tool. And with the past controversy about Hillary Clinton, and her use of a private e-mail server (thus negating the reach of the FOIA), I thought it might be fun to start filing requests, for high ranking government officials, and see what they are talking about behind the scenes. In this particular case? What IRS Commissioner John Koskinen e-mails contained — that had the word MORON.

Although primarily not too interesting, as many of the documents were responsive that had the word MORONEY, there are some attachments that may be valuable to some researchers.
