In March of 2016, I requested information on the extent and impact of satellite jamming on BBG signals, such as in Iran and other areas.  I limited the request from January of 2015, through to the date of processing my request, which included records through approximately March of 2016.

Below, you will find the information released in April of 2017.

According to the BBG website:

The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) is a networked global media agency. The five media organizations that comprise the BBG complement and reinforce one another in a shared mission vital to U.S. national interests: to inform, engage and connect people around the world in support of freedom and democracy. Together, the BBG media organizations communicate each week with more than 278 million people across the globe.

In June of 2017, I requested a copy of the main pages to the BBG’s “employee only” intranet website.

In August of 2017, the BBG released a CD-ROM with various images/screen shots of their intranet site. I have organized them below in galleries, and sorted them according to the folders they were in.  For reference, this was released in FOIA Case #17-055.

Voice of America (VOA) provides trusted and objective news and information in 45 languages to a measured weekly audience of more than 236.6 million people around the world.  For nearly 75 years, VOA journalists have told American stories and supplied content that many people cannot get locally: objective news and information about the US, their region and the world.  VOA uses the devices and platforms target markets use to connect audiences on five continents with the people, thoughts and institutions that make America unique.

Behind the scenes, VOA maintains a small list of prewritten obituaries, for politicians and world leaders that are still alive.

I have attempted to retrieve the obituaries themselves, however they are denied as being labeled “draft” documents, and therefore not subject to the FOIA. On January 26, 2017, I appealed this decision and am currently awaiting their response. This page will be updated when available.

Despite that, below, you will find the lists released.

Under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), I requested all UFO documents from The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG). The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) is both the name of the independent federal agency that oversees all U.S. civilian international media and the name of the board that governs those broadcasts.

According to the BBG, their mission is “to inform, engage and connect people around the world in support of freedom and democracy.”

Since the U.S. Government has been pretty adamant about having no interest in the phenomena since the closure of Project Blue Book in 1969, I was surprised to find that they did have responsive records.

In the form of textual records, you can find the two articles that they had archived below.

In addition to these records, they also supplied a .mov file, however, I am entirely unclear on to the exact contents of it. The visuals are fairly obvious, but not sure if they reference a UFO in this story, or what.  Do you speak the language? Please help identify it and let us know what it says! I thought it may be Arabic or Farsi but not sure.
