In this week’s recap, I’m diving into some of the latest UFO revelations and controversies that stirred up the community this week. First, let’s talk about Luis Elizondo. Recently, he held a paid event where he showed what he claimed was a UFO photo – but it turned out to be nothing more than a chandelier reflection. This sparked a lot of questions about transparency and trust.

Next, I’ll discuss a story I just posted yesterday. The United States Air Force, in response to my records requests, stated there’s been zero Congressional correspondence about UFOs over the past decade. For those following the push for more transparency, this raises serious questions. Are we seeing a lack of communication, or is there something else going on here?

Then, we’ll cover the recent records released by the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) that shed light on their contributions to the Department of Defense and Inspector General’s UAP evaluation. These records provide a rare inside look at how different agencies are engaging with the ongoing investigations.

To wrap up, I’ll be opening up the floor for questions from you all. Let’s talk about what these developments mean for transparency, disclosure, and the search for the truth.

Ep. #137 – AATIP Memo Unveiled After FOIA Battle: DoD Inconsistencies Exposed

After years of bureaucratic obstacles and inconsistent responses, The Black Vault has obtained a highly sought after document through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) that directly references the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), reported since 2017 as “The Pentagon’s Secret Search for UFOs“. The draft memo, never-before-seen by the public and authored by former DoD counterintelligence agent Luis Elizondo, details AATIP’s mission as “focusing on beyond next generation technologies in the areas of lift, propulsion, cloaking, and human effects,” and describes how AATIP was gathering information on “unexplained or unknown aerial systems” from various DoD components and elements. But more importantly to some, it may even confirm Elizondo’s official work within the program, a claim denied by the Pentagon since 2019.

Ep. #135 – New FOIA Release Highlights Redactions in Key AATIP Correspondence: What is the Pentagon Hiding?

Through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) originally filed in June 2021, The Black Vault has just obtained the official release of an email chain involving Luis Elizondo, the alleged former head of the Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), and Neill Tipton, a defense official who previously worked as the Director of Defense Intelligence, Collection and Special Programs. A portion of these emails was initially published by Popular Mechanics in 2020, then later seen as part of a Department of Defense (DoD) Inspector General (IG) complaint submitted by Elizondo in 2021, then later published by the NY Post in 2022. But in the newest FOIA release, the references to AATIP, along with a memorandum written about AATIP and the transferring of duties, was withheld from release and redacted by the DoD, despite the unclassified emails having already been in the public domain for years.

Newly released documents from the Department of Defense (DoD) shed new light on the story of Luis Elizondo, the man who has publicly claimed leadership of the Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) while studying UFOs.

The documents date from late December 2017 and offer a compelling glimpse into the internal concerns of the DoD about Elizondo saying on television that humanity “…may not be alone,” all while talking about his role studying UFOs within the DoD as the director of AATIP. But this week, David Charles Grusch, or the UFO Whistleblower as the media has labeled him, speaks out and essentially confirms it all.

To some this was disclosure by a credible former intelligence official that may change the world. To others, this was part of a well-crafted disinformation campaign to muddy the truth.

So which is it?

David Charles Grusch, a U.S. Air Force veteran, former combat officer, and intelligence official, has made waves as a UFO whistleblower, accusing the government of possessing “intact and partially intact craft of non-human origin.” Serving in various capacities, including as a representative for the National Reconnaissance Office to the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Task Force, Grusch provided Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General with extensive classified information about deeply covert programs involving alleged alien aircraft. Grusch has gone on record stating that recoveries of such crafts have been made for decades by the government, its allies, and defense contractors, with material testing revealing unique atomic arrangements and radiological signatures indicative of non-human intelligence. His credibility is bolstered by his distinguished military career and corroborations from other intelligence officials.

However, despite these serious accusations, the government remains firm in its denial. The Pentagon has stated that they have found no verifiable information to substantiate claims of programs involving the possession or reverse engineering of extraterrestrial materials. Furthermore, in 2022, while the U.S. Navy confirmed the authenticity of several videos showing unidentified flying objects, it did not claim these to be evidence of extraterrestrial life. This controversy, coupled with Grusch’s claims, has ignited a larger conversation about the reality of UFOs and the potential for non-human intelligence.

The United States Navy has denied the release of a classified video depicting a briefing on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) led by the former head of the UAP Task Force, Jay Stratton. The Black Vault discovered the existence of the video in an email released through a FOIA case with NASA last year.
