I got this from, 'math quotes for kid'
believe or not..
‚ÄĘCharles Darwin: "A mathematician is a blind man in a dark room looking for a black cat which isn't there."
I figured, given what you are going through..your desert walk, so to speak..you'd appreciate it

Willie Wonka quotes..
What is this Wonka, some kind of funhouse?
Why? Are you having fun?
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L.....%27s_demon

In 2008, David Wolpert used Cantor diagonalization to disprove Laplace's demon. He did this by assuming that the demon is a computational device and showing that no two such devices can completely predict each other.[5][6] If the demon were not contained within and computed by the universe, any accurate simulation of the universe would be indistinguishable from the universe to an internal observer, and the argument remains distinct from what is observable.

I pose this to you..
Look around you.
What do we seem to value the most?
Distraction.
Sports heros and actors are paid the most of all.
Be we value distraction so much.
Video games prove that.
What if that is a major part of our make up. It obviously is.
What if our source, whatever it is we come from..valued that.? It then came up with something to distract it.. Then eventually jumped into it. Eventuallly forgetting itself. Began to think it was, it's reality was the destraction it jumped into. Thenit got bored and eventually found another way to distract itself and jumped into that reality. Eeventually forgrting itself fromt the earlier reality and then doing the same thing all over again. What if this is a repeating pattern? That has gone on forever?
What if we are so far removed from our source at this point? Jumping into "virtual world" after "virtual world". Fforgetting ourselves along the way. What if we are getting close to doing that, yet again?
It seems if this is true..it's not far off

I read this today in Women by Charles Bukowski. It's my second time reading this book but I guess I had forgotten about this part. It's me 100% with the same addiction. Maybe that's why I enjoy both his fiction and poetry. It really speaks to me.

"Thats the problem with drinking, I thought, as I poured myself another drink. If something bad happens you drink in an attempt to forget; if something good happens you drink to celebrate; and if nothing happens you drink to make something happen."

I get that.

I have found that, in my world, at least..I drink for stress relief, but then get into arguments with H, which leads to more stress, which gets me to drinking some more.

it's a vicious circle/cycle which we are both trying to break..to heal

gotta go find a quote..hold on

ooh..this is a good one..

‚ÄúWhether you sniff it smoke it eat it or shove it up your ass the result is the same: addiction.‚ÄĚ

Mathematics has the completely false reputation of yielding infallible conclusions. Its infallibility is nothing but identity. Two times two is not four, but it is just two times two, and that is what we call four for short. But four is nothing new at all. And thus it goes on and on in its conclusions, except that in the higher formulas the identity fades out of sight.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
