Plagiarism is the crime of taking ones idea and re-defining it for their own. There is a lot of plagiarism in the world and just one case I want to share with you comes from the clothing industry. What happened?
Back in the 80's except for K-Mart because you could not find these items there for some reason was in every clothing department store a boys section with two big signs hanging from the ceiling written "Cooties" and "Non Cooties". These signs are just a reference that some have colored trim and letters sewed on them and some do not they are just plain for $2 less.
If you Google the terminology "Cooties" today it is totally re-written and now a "disease".
This is a prime example of plagiarism which was/is also called "Operator" that means information passed down hand to hand and by time it gets to the end becomes a total distortion of information from the original meaning.
Nobody knows why this happens and all we know is that it is called plagiarism.
And yes, the original definition of plagiarism is probably not the same as it used to be either.

A lot of people think plagiarism is merely copying someone's work or borrowing original ideas. However, there are many other variations of plagiarism that you need to understand before studying in developed countries where plagiarism is considered a "crime" and an intellectual idea or product as an asset to the French. protection law.
