I know Dark, but I made a tiny little copy of it..with your name on the title page....and three pages after that with one word on each page..

going to give it to my grandaughter one day,so she can give it to her barbies, hopefully they don't fight over it....

because I think its the most brilliant lil book I've ever had the pleasure of publishing..(only one copy so far 🙁 ..but that could change 😉 )

how do you feel about barbies having the book? and I'm not kidding about that....is that better than apes?? 😕 😉 Embarassed ...hope so..

I see facial expressions, emotions, etc. All of this material is there and ready to be absorbed completely by me and just feels so much more... intense. It's the same with art for me.

I know what you mean. Its more the other way round for me.

I know what you mean by that response Nixxie...

although I do see wings point..visual is huge in communicating...emotions..so much is told in the expression on a face...

what I like about books...is the explanation of the thoughts, and feelings a character is having on the inside of himself, regarding the "scene" he is in..
Movies can only use the visual and dialogue<(especially in narration) ....while books ,can explain in great detail more about the inner feelings and thoughts each of the characters are having, during the scenes they are in.

A good example of what I mean is...the TV series "The Wonder Years"

that show would have been nothing had it not been narrated by the boy who was describing all his feelings in that show....it would have NONE of the appeal..without that Dialogue,(or commentary, whatever you choose to call it)....with the viewing audience.

Words are very powerful in its description...of what is going on...on the "inside" of a character.

(happy to see Nixxie post..don't see her much on here)

I get what you mean Sheye...most of the time I can see the character in books as I've got quite a vivid imagination. Occasionally though film will do it better. 🙂

And yup- not been around a lot. I'm gone back to studying, so lots of work and not much play. 🙁 Still it'll be worth it in the end.

well the current goal is learning to be an english teacher. it's going alright so far.

as for the partying, I'm a bit of a straight edge. By default really. I've done all the drugs I possibly can in my youth, smoked and given up and any alcohol that goes in, comes straight back out as I'm allergic to most of it! Luckily I can get the same effect with lemonade and jellybeans or just staying awake for longer than 20 hours. 🙂

whats the grumble for honey? x
