God judged it better to bring good out of evil than to suffer no evil to exist.

- Saint Augustine

It´s not Satan´s fault either because if God created everything then he created Satan aswell which in the end is his fault.
So going by God logic, everything is his fault. 🙄 Laugh

Ultimately yes, God is responsible for everything.

To some degree, I think the Frankenstein story tried to illustrate that point.

I don't think God has a problem taking responsibility.

Oh you don't think?

I'd imagine taking responsibility would equate somewhat to taking blame? And taking blame would equate to taking the brunt of the punishment?

And yet, it is us, who burn in hell?

George Carlin had something to say on that matter:

...I believe that may be why G-d manifested as a human and got his big,
happy ass Crucified. Now you get a chance as well to access Paradise...
oh...right, I ferget...G-d didn't come from nothing, huh laddie? He doesn't
exist if he has no origin. That would be too perfect.

..but..I mean ...if...although that may require forgiveness on both parties...I kn-O-ow! Sounds nuts!
...someone that's perfect making a mistake...go figure....I mean..you know...friggin'
why?

Let's not pretend God HAD to sacrifice himself so we could get paradise. He is an all poweful God, he could make any kind of sacrifice unnecessary if he wanted to.

So, obviously he chose to.

Let's also not pretend he did it as a big favour to us, that doesn't make sense either. Again, he was the one who set us up for failure in the first place with the tree of knowledge he surely knew Eve would eat of.

In fact, let's not pretend that sacrificing yourself to yourself to reverse something you yourself caused, deliberately, and knew would happen all along, makes any damn sense anyway and just ignore it as far as this semi-intelligent discussion goes.

At the end of the day, unbelievers and sinners take the brunt of the suffering in Hell, not God. He is in heaven, in paradise. That is not taking responsibility at all, it is shifting it to his creations.
