It's rather laughable that you would presume to school me on the bible. I cited biblical and real life evidence of why many people just like you end up beleivers. I remain confident that you will.

Yeah but the Bible also says that, as Humphreys mentioned, blasphemy is an unforgivable sin. So, even if there were some sort of "divine intervention," I cannot be saved.

Also, there have been many hardcore/outspoken and world renowned atheists that have never had "divine intervention" to make them change their minds. That doesn't mesh with what you said earlier:

"It's the especially bitter enemies toward God that often end up having been chosen, and as the bible illustrates, God chooses them because of the extra helping of glory He receives in return."

"frrostedman" wrote: The context you were using, which humphreys replied to, was Christians on this site who have viewed the post.

Humphreys himself didn't deny what I alleged, except to say that it was a joke. Seems you know what he was thinking when he wrote it? Do Atheists mind-meld? Are you all controlled by a hive-mind and can read each other's thoughts? Laugh

Yeah I know he said it was a joke. But I'm saying, technically, he didn't say it outright. He said "most Christians," not "most Christians on this site," like you said he said. 😛

I'd say it's pretty insensitive to insult those who do have special needs by using a picture of a special needs person in a wheel chair, to mock someone's intelligence.

Sheesh, you Atheists seem to get more and more cruel as Christmas approaches.

I'm not trying to insult special people; just trying to give a visual aid for those that are too special to understand. Laugh

The ones that made that short bus thing are the ones being cruel. It's like they're making a circus freak out of him. That ain't right.

You would have liked a-lot of what he had to say, Greeney.

Frosty,

We do not determine who does or does not go to heaven or hell. That is totally up to God Himself. Not us.

Interesting to me that Atheists would rail against this concept and understanding. They seem to desire to be the chooser here..the decider.

That they pay their dues..put their monies in the box...they deserve better and to be the decider...they are gods ..demigods...soverign in such determinations. If not they have a tantrum. WOW!!!

For any believer who knows and understands the Word...all deserve hell and damnation...nothing better. We do not decide who goes or not goes..this is totally up to God and for His purposes...not for our purposes.

I am afraid it is EV who has the special education here...as he has demonstrated clearly that he has a public/movie/television education by using the illustration of Babs Striesand to make his points. A movie person. An Actress.

I know so many people who cannot make a moral or ethical point outside of some movie or television program they have watched at sometime. They live movie/television lives. They have movie and television emotions. Movie and television thinking. And it shows once someone points it out to you. You begin to see and recognize it often..and for what it is.
No actual life experiences outside of the big screen.

What is worse many of these people are now voters....scary isn't it???

When I went through the security turnstiles at work last night I heard one of the vendors making the comment of what I just spoke about above...Television and Movies.

In facetiousness..I quickly replied in passing them that I resented that ..and that I had a movie/television education majoring in DRAMA thinking and values. I was a drama queen.

Then I quickly added..."And I am also a voter! Scary ain't it!!!???"

It got a laugh..but there was a note of seriousness to it. I'm not sure all caught on to it.

Thanks,
Orangetom

It's hard, we are bombarded with media..sensory seduction..heck...at this point sensory overload

One has to find a balance that works for them

when all is said and done, I say..just remeber the Golden Rule
"ow you treat the least of my people, you also treat me"
"Do unto others..."

I'd add to that, thouhg..
"To thine own self be true"

also
Babs..is not just an actor..she is also a fantastic singer..who has brought many people joy

you can't beat that with a stick..bringing joy, I mean

you never know, her singing one of her songs..and somone hearing it at just the right moment..could have saved a life or two

and now i GOTTA do it

Not true.

Wrong.

Mark 3:28-29
Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.

You really do need to read up on your Bible.

You fall into the category of unforgiveness as well.

You appear certain that I'll get "divine intervention" though. Why is that? Do you have special communication with your "God?" Or do you think you're psychic?

Pathetic.

You simply said you "blasphemed." Not against the Holy Spirit. And I by no means fall into that category. I doubt you do either. Not unless you have done what Jesus warned against which is what the pharisees did, prompting His words. They were suggesting that the Spirit Jesus was filled with, that gave Him power, was of the devil. If you have done so, then I stand corrected but your simple statement that you have "blasphemed" certainly didn't suggest that and I would never assume it.

If you have done so, then by all means -- I take back everything I said.

Quit making a fool out of yourself, presuming to school me on the bible. I'm feeling embarassed for you.
