More people have been killed in the name of religion than all other worldly events combined.

Statistically this is not true at all! Those who use it as an argument are convinced they are correct, however the facts totally disprove this theory. This shows the statistics of wars and these other worldy events you talk about.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_toll

If you look at these statistics you will see that the claim you just made is totally false. If you click on the link and look just at wars, only one is classifed as a religious war. Clearly WW2 is the highest death toll and it was not caused by religion. You will further see that the chart about other things like famine and disesase. Not a single United States War has been a religous war.

In the end, most wars are about God.

I don´t care what the war is about officiallly but they really do it because they believe God is on their side.

Like the Medieval Wars.
USA vs Middle-East.
Allies vs Nazis.

All have fought in the name of God in some way or the other.

So no excuses please 🙄

Truth doesn´t control you, you control it...

How we just keep spinning things to make them the way we want to hear them, even when proof and truth, refutes what the beleif is.

Cole's blanket statement, most people think is generally true, becasue people want to blame religion for all the ills of the world. The biggest arguement anti-religion or atheists fall back on, which is factually untrue, is religions have casued all the wars of the world.

The statistics proove religion is not the casue of all these wars. Nearly every war has not been based on religion. In the absence of that proof, instead of arguing religion was the cause with proof, you place another spin on it to come out the same way.

You can both agree with your made up spin, but the fact are clear. Religions have not been the cause of the major wars of history. Completly opposite in fact, the concept is not true.

It's been 2 days and a no show; so I gotta go on a rant...

Hipocrisy. That is what I call your thread. Did you go on utube and see a video or some other anti-religion site and, at that time, decide that's the way it is because I saw it on the net? For your own soul, please reconsider.
Hipocrisy because you, like some others, would have us believe that your view is the absolute and the truth is none of us were alive more than a hundred years ago to be a present day witness to how it all went down. Yet you would dismiss what I read as the truth(King James vers.) and what millions other consider the truth as simple fiction in favor of something from some other's mouth? I read the word of God which is the Bible so, unless someone comes up with concrete proof of error, I'll keep believing that instead of you.
Does the ruling elite use faith to their own ends? Possibly to those who would be led, no for those strong in the word. The words in my Bible have never changed; contrast that to flesh and blood. Are ya out there newinitiation???

Well folks here it goes.
Depite what people may assume the so called 'truth' to be, everyone can agree on one thing and that is because of the underlying truth of all manifestations we exist.
We exist as a creation of the natural process of the earth for how could it be otherwise, its plain as day.
Now, that so called truth is irrepressible, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient and it encompasses the whole of the universe, because it is the effect and the cause.
The solidly fused iron clad laws of creation is discernable through the application of logic.
Now the natural law state that:-
1-everything is spirit and the universe is the idea
The law of spirit
2-as above, so below; as below, so above
The law of correspondence
3-nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates
The law of vibration
4-everything is dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled

The law of polarity

5- everything flows in and out; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum swing manifest in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of swing to the left; rhythm compensates
The law of rhythm

6-every cause has its effect; every effect has its cause; everything happens according to law; chance is but aname for law not recognised; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the law
The law of cause and effect

7-gender is in everything; everything has its masculine and feminine principle; gender manifests on all planes
The law of gender

These are the priciples behind natural laws
Now people can say, well God created it but this is what the madness of belief related doctrines do to people, the factual truth behind the premise of a belief system is absent therefore you must suspend your critical thinking faculties and are encouraged to just believe because the almighty lord jesus christ of nazereth said so in the bible.
How preposterous is this
No matter how many people believe it doesn't make it any more true therefore people must strive through critical thinking based on logic to KNOW rather than just BELIEVE.

to be cont'd

All that, and you said absolutly nothing newinitiation. No offence but yoUr list of natural laws is pretty dumb, sound like they came ouT of a "love in", from the 60's.

Yet so many gullible people fall for it time and time again.
It is said those who believe in religion are usually the weak people and their feebleminded belief of this nonsense is a testament to this fact.

Repeating the above natural laws and believing what ever they are supose to mean, seems like you are the one gullible enough to fall for that. The weak and feebleminded followed people like Jim Jones, and the Heaven's Gate people.

That was cute, newinitiation. Poorly written, but cute.

I'm guessing what you're about is publishing your own system of beliefs (since you just did); in other words, attempting to start your own religion.

So: According to your title for this thread, what does that make you?

Oops, sorry, didn't mean to interrupt your thread with deductive reasoning. Please carry on.
