Crowley is a stepping stone like everything else. He is not my enemy nor do I consider him to be "bad". "Beware of the man with only one book." If nothing else he was a fabulous writer.

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law to me means let your true self shine forth and act in accordance with it.

The question is does Crowley's principle of effective will-working apply to prayer. Moreover one can ask if prayer is sometimes will-working.

I prefer the neo-Pagan saying, "And thou harm none, do as thou wilt". Yeah, its a modification of Crowley, but I like it better.

Might be redundant. I question whether it is one's true nature to do harm or if that's a product of the ego. Let's not forget that right up there with that quote is "love is the law, love under will." You do no harm to those you love, unless you're the Christian god of course Laugh

I dunno. I have to question everything. Of course, sometimes it takes longer to get answers than other times.

I question whether it is one's true nature to do harm or if that's a product of the ego.

Interesting statement. What is True nature? (one of my many questions)

I look to children and animals to answer that question. I believe that all are born pure and loving. It is this world/existence that changes that. A person can spend an entire life time or life times attempting to change that.

I also look to Dr.s like Dr Blaylock who shows the studies that the majority of violent prisoners are actually hypoglycemic. Take them off sugar, and they're no longer violent. The majority of schizophrenics have wheat allergies. Take them off wheat, they're fine.

So, obviously our diet is a primary role in who we portray during this existence.

The underlying thing...no, I don't believe that it is to "do harm". In fact, I believe that the purpose of all human existence and animal existence is to do good.

No qmark, I don't have kids. I have worked in day cares. In my experience, children want to help and follow the rules. They're full of energy and make mistakes, but that is how they learn. You can't tell me that when a baby is born that they're not pure and perfect. I believe that it is society and governments that corrupt humans.

At1, I believe a person's true nature is there from birth. Maybe it's just a matter of rediscovering it?
