I don´t have a place in either of them.
I have my own little place.
That does not involve any pathetic laws from either side. 😈

Truth doesn´t control you, you control it...

You can´t have just one thing 🙄

You don't want me to make my prayer obvious. It may offend you. You on the other hand get to be the exception. You couldn't be more even minded.

The very presence of disdain of another's belief or non- beliefs is insulting. It's all quite arrogant and condescending; but you may practice your aesthetic prothletizing all you want. Your the exception.

Find me a true believer in the Western World and I will guarantee you will think differently from then on. In the meantime please excuse those do not live to what they claim.

Truth is Event Horizon I am above no one, nor do I believe in a Fantasy Land. I have also never gone out of my way to insult anyone outside of my faith, let alone attempt to proselytize by using words. I try and fail daily to live the life I have chosen as a mantle of my faith, and my faith tells me to witness my faith every second of the day, and if I have to- use words to show others.

No one can tell you that you are going to a Hell, Event Horizon. No one can make that claim nor can anyone judge you for your beliefs. Truth is I doubt you have ever ran into somepone who is an actual person of the Faith. Many claim to be, and by their actions you will know if they are or not. Those who have witnessed to you about encroaching Hell Fire are not professing anything except fear and bad doctrine. I am sorry for those people who do this and they have tainted something for which they themselves do not know as truth.

Please allow me to make an apology to you for every time someone who claimed the faith did you wrong. I am very sorry.

In humility,
Illuminati

I'm not saying all believers are that way, but the majority of them are, like feline brain. They're a bunch of hypocrites.

The fact is the Bible says that unbelievers are going to "Hell." And if you believe the Bible, then you believe we're going to "Hell." No amount of sugarcoating is going to change that.

I really didn't have much of a problem with it prior to 9/11. It's wrong that all of us unbelievers are caught in the middle of a war over who's got the best fairy tale. It's the duty of all unbelievers to debunk the nonsense religion brings to rationality.

Event Horizon, I'm an atheist but I don't feel any duty to debunk faith of any kind. I guess my own lack of faith is not because I find the existence of God illogical or nonsense (I don't - although so many things done in His name are) but simply I have no need for it. I think people have faith for one of two reasons, firstly they have a God-shaped hole in their psyche to fill; or secondly they are told to believe and for whatever reason don't question it. I used to believe when I was younger, but simply grew out of it like father christmas or the tooth fairy: I question everything and soon discovered I had no room for faith in my world-view.

I am, however, a great believer in treating others as you would wish them to treat you. Therefore, I respect others' faith because I would like them to respect my lack of it.

I do not believe in the Bible. I believe in Jesus Christ and the Church He founded. The Bible is a book written for the Church and not to be used outside of the context of the Church. What you have been exposed to is a bunch of infallible bible believers who in turn have usurped the authority of God to a Book, which is Biblolatry, not Christianity.

And no, those outside of His Church are not condemned to Hell. Only those who have been exposed and have outright rejected Him and his Church are condemned to a state away from His graces, which is Hell. And even then it is not our place to make such a condemnation- that is for God to decide.

Well, just wait till some religious fanatic poisons the water supply and it goes through the pipes of where your child goes to school. Or a suitcase nuke goes off near where you live. Is that what it's going to take for you to finally speak out against religion and the killing that comes with it? By then it'll be too late. 9/11 should have been the wakeup call for all unbelievers. But some of them are still sleeping, apparently.

And it's not just the fanatics, it's what religion does to children -- it brainwashes them before they even have a chance to think for themselves. It's a form of child abuse. While you might have grown out of it, most don't.

All religion does is impede human progress. This isn't the Dark Ages anymore for goodness sakes. The fairies flew off into outer space when Christopher Columbus landed in the Bahamas.

So you're a Mormon. That's one of the cliques that thinks it's okay to marry and impregnate 12 to 14-year-old girls eh. You think that's cool?

Event Horizon:

I don't see why the unjustifiable actions of religious extremists should necessitate the eradication of faith in general. The fanatical minority should not be allowed to condemn the moderate majority. This is a wider issue because this kind of human behaviour is found in other areas besides religion. Should all sports fans be banned from supporting their teams just because some fanatical hooligans like to cause chaos? Should the entire financial system be discarded just because some greedy corporate directors cause chaos to the global economy? You might not like sport, you might be anti-capitalist, or you might not believe in God, but you can't deny the rights of others to their beliefs. It's fanaticism that needs eradicating, not faith, and replaced by tolerance.
