But basically it could be referenceable as a heterarchical set of hierarchical subsets.

It's interesting how referenceability can be referenced and so exists, making existence "subordinate" to itself like a self-similar object. Thus the word existence is, in part, self-referencing or at least self-encompassing.

Do you think existence and truth are related? I do.

you couldn't have truth without existence..heck..you couldn't have falsities without existenece..everything is related to existence..because without existence..well..nothing exists

What is this Wonka, some kind of funhouse?
Why? Are you having fun?

Perhaps truth and existence are in essence the same...

Truth is what actually is, not a concept of what anything might be.

I was going to say that existence is truth, as greeney said "what actually is."

But then the problem is defining actual.

And then...what is existence?

The truth, whole truth, and nothing but the truth, means don't lie, tell what actually happened, don't make it up as you go. That which was real is actual. If you do look up truth, it gets into a zillion philosophies what it is or isn't, to me its simple. Don't lie, don;t exaggerate, it isn't hocus pocus, The grand Master and Grasshoper, Quai Chang or something profound.

You're talking about having a moral position on adherence to honesty which to me is not really relevant to the discussion at hand.

What if we're signals in a brain in a vat?

Then we don't really know what is actual.
