Hello, forum!

I am posting this as a new member of the forum.  I've been anonymously browsing the BlackVault website for a few years now, and have come to appreciate Mr. Greenewald's approach with respect to directly contacting government agencies, and not entertaining those who would violate the law and endanger lives, sources, and methods by leaking classified information.

I am a software engineer and data scientist by education and trade, and have put those skills to bear in my career - including as a federal employee of a military intelligence agency.  My agency had a foot in the military intelligence world, and the other in the civilian Intelligence Community.

I've collaborated extensively on certain projects with my counterparts at the CIA, the FBI, NASIC, NRO, and even had a joint-duty assignment (JDA) at DIA (the Defense Intelligence Agency).  Additionally, I've contributed to and engaged in machine learning and other AI-focused projects at DARPA and the Lawrence Livermore, Sandia, and Brookhaven National Laboratories.  I retain friends at all agencies -- a necessity in the political landscape of federal service.

During my time in federal service, I held a Top Secret clearance with multiple secure compartmentalized information accesses (TS//SCI), and a counter-intelligence (CI) polygraph passed on the record.  I give this information not to boast, but to commend Mr. Greenewald for his careful and measured approach to gathering information, and his persistent protection -- despite the frustrating nature of the FOIA process (I sat on the FOIA response team for my agency in my capacity as an Information Architect on a few occasions, and it IS frustrating - I assure you!) -- of national security and his sensitivity to the damage that releasing classified information can cause.

I have two primary reasons for being here now:

  1. I no longer work for the United States government, and can therefore research and dig into these topics without fear of it raising red flags with the security & counter-intel teams, and;
  2. These topics have always intrigued me, and this is a great opportunity to access some very unique information.

My goal in being here is to offer my services to Mr. Greenewald -- in whatever capacity he may need assistance, with regard to technical work on the website, data management, etc -- and to use my skills in the software and data engineering fields to investigate and analyze much of the information this site offers.

Thanks, and I look forward to my time with you all!
