I am retired and have always been interested in the unusual from ufo's to other dimensions.  You name it and I am open minded about it.

In 1980 I lived in a small town just south of Jacksonville, FL in a new neighborhood still under construction of 1+ acre lots. It was still a fairly new project with lots of empty lots some of which were across from our house.

One night I woke up to realize that my room was lit up so brightly that it was almost painful as far as the volume of light. It was on the order of a strobe light as far as the pure white of it but constant, not pulsing. I sat up and looked out through my blinds but saw nothing giving off this light. No matter what window I went to it was the same so must have been coming from above our house. I noticed how eerily quiet it was at some point while trying to figure out what was causing this bright light. No matter the time you could always hear either a dog barking or some other noise. Not this particular time. My curiosity was almost to the point of going outside to look up and see if I could see what this was but my common sense told me not to. There was just some feeling I cannot describe to keep me from going out there.

The next day I watched the news very closely to see if anyone reported anything about this event even though it happened in the middle of the night. Not a word about it. Nor the next few days either. To this day I feel this was a ufo but have no proof other than the bright light and the weird feeling I had.

If anyone else has ever seen any light like this I would be interested in hearing about your experience.

The topics on this website are very interesting and I am looking forward to searching through them as well as meeting other "believers".Cool
