This is my first topic posting. I don't know if this is the right place for it. I just moved to a new apartment. I noticed things only happening late at night, after 1am & disappearing by 8 or 9am. For one, multiple remote controls suddenly do not work for my cable box (only at night). I had to download the phone app for Time Warner to control my cable box at night. Also, my computer acts strange during this time. The cursor moves around the screen without me using the mouse. I try to move it to one area & it repeatedly moves back. I try to open web pages & they keep closing. Even a couple of programs kept opening without me clicking on them. An error message came up about an error in attempting to rename a Bible program that I did not even open. I disabled wifi on my pc, have even unplugged it from my internet modem, restarted my computer multiple times & it still continued without being connected to the internet. The touch screen on my desktop's monitor screen does not work then.
I cannot schedule service from my cable company because this only happens at night. I am afraid to call tech support because they will probably think I am crazy. No, I haven't noticed objects being moved such as in ghost or demon phenomenon & I don't hear voices. Yes, I know that peak demon activity is supposedly at 3am, but there has got to be a natural explanation. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know of any kind of electromagnetic interference that can cause this? My old cell phone only has a couple of issues it had before I moved & seems not affected. Any help is welcome.

I do know quite a bit about computers.
The phenomenon that you're seeing, could very well be one of these:
- an automated stealth spyware monitoring program operating on your computer. Most likely a software similar to "Eblaster" or any other keylogger software which is currently malfunctioning... seek help on this if you do not know how to remove a such stealth software that someone personally installed on your machine. It's not sent via email, etc, it was personally installed directly onto your computer either by disk or USB flashdrive. This infection type is nasty and is very hard to remove without proper software removal tools.
- You're living in an apartment complex which is sharing the same cable line. Someone may have been accessing your network folder if you have any opened network sharing running. Such access is "key enabled" from your internet line. Go into your set up folders and begin turning these access permissions off.
- Your touch screen may be on the fritz... I have seen this before, when a touch screen becomes worn out by being used too much or even from heat, it begins to malfunction with erratic movements with or without internet connection. You need to simply upgrade the drivers before the screen gives out. Do this promptly.
- On a more wild side, someone tapped into your computer frequency and is having access to your hard drive. This is extremely difficult to do, but it is possible if another computer is extremely nearby, such like your neighbor. Any further than that, it wont work.
My feeling is that it's your touchscreen malfunctioning... best of luck! 🙂
