Hi folks.....just returned from the Island. Where do I start? Wanna talk food, beach conditions, or maybe, service? Let me know if interested and I'll kindly give you the unvarnished version. Should you reside in or near the area, please be advised, look away if you have a special love for the place as MY OPINION will most likely clash with yours.

I'm Cole by the way, been a while. Hope all you regulars BV'ers are well.

Here's the thing, they have rules, that's what they lead people to believe anyway. Don't disturb the wildlife. Don't remove anything. Stay off the dunes. Don't litter and pick up all trash. LOL.....Absolute BS.  PERIOD...MOST ALL OF IT. Had I known the reality, we never would have went.

The beach....trashed, a real issue with me. What kind of person leaves trash on a public beach? What kind of trash you ask? Well let's just say I could have filled a five gallon bucket with little effort in 10 minutes max. I was in total awe of how filthy it actually was, but I assume that such has probably become acceptable in today's society. I can think of no other reason why it was in such condition. Huge turn off especially when one reads the rules.

Let's talk food and service, yes it gets worse as one has to pay for food, the service is supposed to come along with it. LOL...Maybe our expectations were way way too high, or maybe, it's another acceptable aspect of today's world. People will eat anything and deem it worthy of such a steep price. Call me old school I expect things as advertised, or in today's world as " reviewed " lol  silly me, people are either lying, an employee of the establishment in question, or clueless about quality food and fair service. Regardless saying it was all cookie cutter and very very average would be a massive compliment.

Still holding off on writing a letter to the chamber.......still too pissed and don't want to make an arse of myself by not being level headed when penning it. Just sad how people have accepted the actions of a few by being too afraid to voice their opinions or speak out.....it blows. I said something to more than a few locals, and a couple of DPW workers....they had me on ignore...lol...Kind of like " what can we do about it?"    really sad.
