I guess Britain is now too much into the idea of an Arctic mini-NATO to further stay in the EU. The Arctic participation may bring really huge dividends. It's no secret many EU countries have a watering mouth for Arctic vast resources. But Britain seems reluctant to have so many spongers. In mini-NATO there will be only three of them (Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia).
Moreover, I won't be surprised if Britain drops its NATO membership too. It seems to be bored with playing second fiddle in the alliance. In the Arctic NATO it is definitely set to have the dominant role.
