New rules are posted for sourcing articles. Unfortunately, due to copyright concerns, and after studying the "fair use" clause of the law, it is believe we (especially myself) should only post portions of copyrighted material - not ENTIRE articles.
Here are the updated rules, specifically:
6. Source third-party material
We do welcome third-party material here. This includes, but is not limited to, news articles, reports, etc. We welcome you to "copy and paste" the material - but do not claim it as your own. We ask you source the material at the bottom of the work, so others know it is not your own, and is sourced properly.
Also, we ask you only post a few paragraphs of the article (generally the message is conveyed) but NOT the entire article. Then, offer a link at the bottom of the excerpt to "keep reading" if the reader chooses to do so.
The best way to do this, is use a "Keep Reading: http://source.com" at the bottom of the article, and use the following code:
[quote="Source Name"]This is pasted copyrighted material
Keep Reading: http://www.source.com[/quote]
This will display like this:
"Source Name" wrote: This is pasted copyrighted material
Keep Reading: http://www.source.com
