As far as I know, martial law isn't coming to a town near you in whatever number of years. It's already there. It's everywhere. Martial law can be declared by the President over any region in the United States, where it is decided that State and local authorities are unable to control a situation... like a riot, rebellion, or uprising. My definition but I think I'm close.

This I believe is the Order that instates Martial Law as I read it, I have reason to suspect that the Lieber Code (also supplied ) not only confirms Martial Law but by its very existence is confirmation of such Martial Law
http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu.....?pid=70078

The Order as it is my understanding is part of the Lieber Code:

Quote from Wikipedia subject Lieber code--look it up!

"Both the Lieber Code and the Hague Convention of 1907, which took much of the Lieber Code and wrote it into the international treaty law, included practices that would be considered illegal or extremely questionable by today's standards. In the event of the violation of the laws of war by an enemy, the Code permitted reprisal (by musketry) against the enemy's recently captured POWs; it permitted the summary execution (by musketry) of spies, saboteurs, francs-tireurs, and guerrilla forces, if caught in the act of carrying out their missions. (These allowable practices were later abolished by the Third and Fourth Geneva Conventions of 1949, following the Second World War, which saw these practices in the hands of totalitarian states used as the rule rather than the exception to such.)"

As you can see, and if you did some remedial research on subjects in the first place, some of the practices of the Lieber code were abolished by the Geneva Convention. Many of the Lieber code provisions are probably used today, and not just in the United States, in many countries, and free nations, including Australia. The lieber code if you read up on it was signed by Lincoln during and because of the civil war, some of your references are about Virginia in mid-late 1861, when they succeeded from the Union.

Some of this Lieber code probably does exist today in the form of Military general orders of conduct in war, and much of it no different than your own military rules of conduct during war. Much of it exists in the allowable rules of the Geneva Conventions, and other prior conventions discussed. In 1861 it was extreme measures for extreme conditions, but somethings Marial law is required for extreme conditions, even today. What would you rather have, no written rules and regulations at all?

Do a little research once in a while.

Now Greeney2 on more than one occasion on this Forum Wikipedia has been used by people to put forward their arguments as you are doing now and it has been met by screaming descent by many other members as being totally unreliable. I do even recall you joining in that chorus as well from time to time. Now you use it to further your argument. Oh the hypocrisy ‚Ěó Laugh Laugh Laugh

You further attack me for not doing research, I got 2 links for you that you were either unwilling or too damn lazy to find yourself. You then attack me further for not reading what I posted ... hmmm ūüôĄ ūüôĄ ūüôĄ ... interesting when I said:

"This I believe is the Order that instates Martial Law [glow=red]as I read it, I have reason to suspect that the Lieber Code (also supplied ) not only confirms Martial Law but by its very existence is confirmation of such Martial Law[/glow]"

So you seem to have an issue now, don't you? :snooty: :snooty: It appears you have been caught not reading what is presented but I have always suspected and come to expect this of you ... particularly when it come to my postings. :snooty: :snooty: :snooty:

2015 is a new year Greeney2 but some old dogs don't learn any new tricks do they mate. :wall:

I'm satisfied with the answer I found to this. It doesn't take much effort to prove you wrong. Just looked out the window, I don't see any troops outside or Martial Law, maybe you think you do.

Sorry to stir up a disagreement. I wanted some input on the potential of martial law soon in ID. I have found a good website and got a book on preparedness. I am so thankful for John's two series on Netflix and look forward to another. Thanks also for the immense amount of work on Project Blue Book.

Now, back to the questions I brought up. Really, boys! I think we have more important things to deal with than disputing among ourselves. I've done a lot of research, ie. New World Order, but there are questions I have in specific areas. We are all intelligent; some of us come across certain answers before others. Can we share info. and get along? Can I please get some input on the questions I originally posed re. martial law. Thank you, Ladyhawke
