So it never occurs to you as even a remote possibility, that the US can go to war in order to keep itself safe?

Since we are talking about Veterans, which wars do you have in mind?

Must every war we have ever entered into, been solely about expanding our empire and dominating the rest of the world?

With every establishment of a military base, there is a signal that the U.S. will remain in that country as a permanent resident so to speak. Once the U.S. supplants itself in a country, it not only has a say in future government, but it has a say in which candidates are allowed to be elected by the population. In a sense, that is expanding American empire. It ensures that American interests will reign supreme.

[iAnd is it just the US with evil intentions, and not any of the other countries we fought against?
][/i]

Granted! There are countries that we launched wars against who are less than desirable. However, methodology, intent and overall "blueprints for the future" are important when considering what type of action the U.S. will implement. Do we want to wage war against the whole population? Although some soldiers may not see it that way, an aerial bombardment of a neighborhood does speak immensely.

Even if you disagree with the whole idea of preemptive strike, the fact is, it's a matter of debate whether or not it's defensive and has honorable intent. And furthermore, there is much more honor and love in the US coming to the aid of its allies--than the alternative which you prefer which is, we sit on our hands and let them be destroyed.

Is there honor in Middle Eastern foreign fighters who fight against the US? They do call themselves freedom fighters, frrostedman. The US military calls itself liberators and tactics are comparable. You strap a bomb on a plane while they strap a bomb on themselves. It also does not matter what other countries are involved in support of the US venture. What matters is who benefits among those "allied powers". Who does benefit from war? War is hell and we should acknowledge that. It create suffering. One is sent to fight against someone who is just like them, families just like them. Simply put, an Iraqi family has more similarity with an American soldier's family that one should really think it through. What kind of system forces one to bypass that and just kill, kill, and kill?

The Few assume to be the deputies, but they are often only the despoilers of the Many.

Examples where countries are not able to defend itself against attackers. Hilter walked into how many countries of Europe, and occupied them and slaudered millions of people in the process, in addition to killing 6 million jews. Our Veterans faught to liberate Europe. Spout off about the cold war Aquarian, I am old enough to remember Kruschev pounding his shoe on a podium, theatening to "Bury the United States", and the days of the Cuban Missile crises. Thank God we had military readyness, military intellegence, and President, who would not blink or hesitate. God help us with Obama! Florida would have been first to go, had we not turned the Soviet Ships around, and they completed a nuclear base in Cuba. Where do you think we may be today, had our veterans, not turned those ships back to Russia, and forced Cuba to dismantal everything.
Again, you should thank your Veterans for this one too.

Aquarian you seem to fail to understand that not a single soldier from any military anywhere in the world living or dead has wanted to go to war.

Have you ever thanked anyone who did something for you? The way you are carrying on here it would seem not.

So sad ..so terribly sad.

Remember remember the fifth of November

I see no reason why gunpowder, treason
Should ever be forgot...

Of course he hasn't Joker..We haven't given him everything he is entitled to yet. why would he thank anyone?

Just another pissed off whiney lib, who can't do anything for himself, but blames the rest of us for being successful.

The only reason he has the right to post that crap he posted was because someone died to make sure he can.. will he ever thank a soldier for that? I doubt it.. 🙄

God bless our soldiers, our military.
Our veterans.
Thank you to them all and their families for their scarifises.

I am well aware that there are places in this world that leave us alone simply because they are intimidated by our military.
Not out of some respect, or liking of us.
It's a dog eat dog world, in that way, when it comes down to it.

A country needs a good, strong military. It's like health insurance.
When you need it, YOU NEED IT.

What is this Wonka, some kind of funhouse?
Why? Are you having fun?
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

Take this to heart because the government is lying to you about the Constitution. They are using others to set the frame work to do this like the media shills they have in place. The Constitution is not hard to understand or controversial. The Constitution is not a guide it is the primary law of the land. Courses on Constitutional LAW are very expensive in Princeton, Harvard, and Yale. Civil suits are a prime example that the document contains laws and not guide lines.

I point this out to take the spin out of the lie first.

The Constitution was written by the founders of this nation to assure American citizens keep their freedoms and liberties.

The right to bear arms and the right to form a militia are in their to protect your freedoms.

Arms does not just mean guns. You have the right to bear any weapon that has been designed and produced to protect you Constitutional rights.

The higher federal offices are to contain your representatives. They are to find out what the public wants and work toward those goals. They are not there to have a kill switch for the internet to hamper your freedom of speech. They are not their to build and empire or try to act as emperors. They are to be sworn in to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

As I said else where in another post: You are to repell enemies both foreign and domestic. If the tyranny is domestic the militia does not go to the tyrants and ask permission to form. The militia is not at the beck and call of the government. The very idea of a license to carry a gun is an infringement of your rights. They want you to believe the spin and not discover the truth.

Were we are right now is we have taxation without representation.
