Bloodstone,

As much as you want to make this seem like a communist plot to overthrow big business, it is important to recognize all the details of this six month moratorium on deep-sea drilling. Unfortunately, the Obama Administration Dept. of Interior is still allowing permits for deep-sea drilling and the current moratorium only applies to the issuance of new permits for deep sea drilling sites. There are rigs in far deeper waters than Deepwater Horizon's rigs, and thousands of others in the shallower waters. What Obama is doing is creating a federal commission to review the "future safety" of deep sea drilling by appointing those with ties to the oil industry (like Relly and the coalition of "New Democrats"- William K. Reilly who pushed for several deregulation measures under Bush I). There has been countless testimony, documents and contractor whistleblower information to initiate a criminal investigation against BP, Halliburton, TransOcean, etc., yet the Administration hasn't pressed for that...??

The Obama Administration, like all other previous administrations, have granted oil companies like BP freedom to operate in absolute market reign. The government rubber-stamped BP's plans and disregarded all the abuses and potential abuses- with even the Obama Administration "excusing" DWH from undergoing environmental review/regulation for its contingency plans.

Laugh Laugh Laugh Laugh Laugh is that the one with no one on it who has experience with oil rigs ? all policy heads? oh yeah , that's what he's doing. Man you guys buy anything don't ya ?

funny how you completely skip over the part of Obama in bed with Soros and petrobras?

you especially, with all the hate you had spewed about haliburton? Why so quiet now ? 🙄

This is not for Fed inspection, this is a takeover of the highest level. This is nothing more than crony capatalism at it's best. Picking winners and losers for his own monetary gain! If you can't see that, than all you're blowharding over haliburton was futile.

again once we lose those rigs we never get them back. Oh that's right that's what you want anyway. 🙄

If you read my post then you would see that I am indicting both the Obama Administration and the capitalists who created this mess- then again, Capitalism entails constant perpetuation of the Corporate Two (Dems and Reps). The Gulf Oil Disaster is a culmination of Capitalism in its logical conclusion- anything to secure profits, even if it means not having a safety off-switch, or not having a solid blowout preventer (BOP)-

Measures that could have improved BOP reliability were simp ly ignored by corporations and the government. A 2001 study of 83 wells requested by the federal Minerals Management Service (MMS) found 117 instances of BOP failures. It concluded that “all subsea BOP stacks used for deepwater drilling should be equipped with two blind-shear rams,” in case one of them fails.

The MMS refused to act on the information. No new standards or regulations were put into place. The Deepwater Horizon blowout preventer had only one shear ram.

Not only were BOPs in general considered faulty but specific concerns were repeatedly raised about the BOP used by the Deepwater Horizon rig.

I was being facetious/sarcastic.

Yes, I do think there should be a permanent moratorium, not a BP apologist moratorium on drilling, but Obama hasn't presented any plans to help workers that may be harmed by that moratorium- something that would be addressed under a different economic model.

Lets hope the next blunder he makes isn;t firing McCrystal when he meets with him over the statements McCrystal made in an interview. Obama is well on the way to replacing Jimmy Carter as worst President ever.

er..
George W. Bush was the worst president ever.
And in the not too far off future history books will reflect that.

I'm not saying Obama is prime meat or carter ever was..but Bush, so far has been the worst president ever..and you ALL know it...everyone in the whole world knows it...including, Bush himself (which is too bad because he seems like a personable enough guy)

Only the TRULY self deluded or just all out liars won't admit to that.

this is just my opinion of course (along with most of the people's in the world)

check out this Google Earth satelite pic of The Gulf these days

ugh
Cry

http://www.examiner.com/x-25803-Natural ... op-Current

the oil slick is entering in the Loop Current..from there it will be swept into the gulf stream where it basically travels around and pollutes the ocean, at large

the ocean is very big, though..hopefully this spill can be shut down soon enough that it won't be so big that the very big ocean can't handle it..some kind of tipping point

Greeney: Most of McCrystal's men would welcome a change, sooner than later. You must have missed the fine print. The Military Industrial complex has shot themselves in the foot over this one.

This can't be denied: No war in Iraq, No war in Afghanistan=No economical problems----The President, whether he be Mule or Prized race horse, has ZERO blame in that regard. Surely you'll skim some of you son's FOIA doc's before you attempt to refute any of this post.

You do remember that thing in Dallas do you not? 😯

best,
