The Mothman is simply bizarre. 

There's obviously no way to explain it now, but something happened in that time frame in Point Pleasant. There were too many individuals unrelated to each other that experienced this flying, devlish creature. 

I think the recent Chicago sightings are some kind of heron, but those West Virginia sightings are just unexplainable.... and therefore, real?

definitely read John Keel's book.  outstanding account of paranormal activity in a specific time/place.  probably the best book I've ever read about monsters / ufos / paranormal.  (gets to the point hard to separate)
