In the premier episode of The Black Vault Radio, I explore the new format to The Black Vault Radio, what the show is about, and what you can expect. Then, I sit down with Stanton Friedman, one of my long time friends in the field of UFOlogy, and we talk about his past, Roswell, his thoughts on the present day of the field and what’s in store for tomorrow.
Also, I give you the first document in the TBV UNREDACTED segment, which profiles the 1976 Iran Incident document, how I came to learn about it and why I feel it is important.
There is lots to explore in this episode — so take a listen. I guarantee, you will learn at least one thing!

I just finished listening to the entire show, great interview. Mr. Friedman comes from the same generation of my Fathers,( your grandfather Raymond) who John mentions in the interview. Very interesting a few of his comments about top secret, and not even telling his wife, a life my Dad also had to live with his top secret programs of the era. You just could not and would not talk about what you worked on. At one time John years ago, you had said Mr. Friedman had some recollection of your Grandfathers name somewhere back in his work career. When talking about the U2 and a number of failure launches of some satellite in that era, your grandfather worked at TRW in Redondo beach. In his office was a working model of a Atlas missile and silo, so I wonder if this is somehow when their paths crossed? I wonder in his work if it interacted with TRW in the early to mid 60's. I noticed his reaction to what you told him about Bell Aircraft. Amazing what a small world it is sometimes. Great show.
