This is a beautiful (and occasionaly sworded) language to study, and I hope the reptilian theory doesn't put people off.

Cuniform was the first written language, right?
cool

Though, I saw some archeologist's site once a while back. He believed that petroglythes are actually the earliest form of written language..a sort of pre-hieroglythic, symbolic language

He felt that explained why so many petroglythes are repeated all over..the same symbols and pictures..it's because they actually represented words or ideas..messages

He had a name for it, but I forget what it was called.
It is frustrating because I had wanted to google him up and see hoiw things were going with all that.
oh well
I am fascinated with the roots of language

found some stuff on the petroglyph stuff..
It's being called "First Language", apparently

forgot..about the lizard stuff..I personally am fascinated with Sumerian 'myth' and how it's tied to babylonian 'myth'..then to Egyptian' myth' and onto Jewish and Christian 'myth'

Willie Wonka quotes..
What is this Wonka, some kind of funhouse?
Why? Are you having fun?
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.

Indo European proto language is another interesting one.

It's not archaological, it's sort of made up from looking at lots of surviving languages, but it's got a lovely earthy pagan feel to it.

I've been fascinated with sumer for as long as I can remember. I'd love to learn the language but am a bit intimidated, I must admit.
