When you first discover the existence of aliens it may be easy to wonder "what do they want". This is actually rather immature, it is like asking what do Coca Cola or Microsoft or Nike want? They want to make as much money as possible, preferably as a monopolist. But they aren't monopolists, and neither are any alien races.
I have had many interactions with beings who have mentioned WW2 and the different powers associated with that conflict. It's an example of aliens getting involved with earthly conflict/competition. Religions are also highly involved with aliens races and have plenty of wars (and aggressively attempt to recruit members to their side).
Maybe aliens want nothing to do with us? Jesus was an alien who openly made contact, and look what happened to him. But in Christian writings Jesus' sacrifice is often accepted as part of what he was doing.

I don't understand how asking what someone wants is immature. To me, calling someone immature for no reason is a better predictor of juvenile behavior.
Assuming aliens have some kind of consciousness they must have some kind of want or desire that guides them as we are also driven by wants and desires our whole lives. Of course, anything is possible.
But I still can't stop wondering why they abduct people.

Hunter, there are no stupid questions, only stupid people.
Your question is very valid. Any person that ridicules another for seeking knowledge, is a fool himself.
If I may, myself as I said earlier, I don't care. But that doesn't mean I don't have theories.
It depends on who we are dealing with. If its true that the reptilian race is doing this, I believe we're food.
The Grey's, I believe have no agenda,I believe they are nothing but clones themselves, and carry out the orders of others.
As far as any benevolent race, observation, study, much the same as we do to wildlife.
The only way to know for sure is to ask lol I hope one day to force a confrontation with my abductors, and I will ask exactly that, and more.:-)
It's better to walk alone, than with a crowd going in the wrong direction. H.S.
