The weirdness of it rings true to me.
Especially the way you all reacted, and the sudden drowseyness and afterwards how everyone seems to want to forget what happened or even have a sort of amnesia with it.
Tell me, when you were posting the story or when you try to go over the story, do you feel a sort of spaceyness, drowsiness, 'forget about it' feeling come over you?
That would happen with me a-lot when I would try to work out the details of just what the heck happened to me.
Like I was given a post hypnotic suggestion to zone out if I tried to remember details more clearly.
As you can see, I had similar kinds of things happen long ago.
Most probably WHY I believe you..I see things I relate to in your story..especially the confused, weirdness factor..I realize that you see..what most people who haven't had such an encounter don't see..how having something SO WEIRD happen can confuse and throw off your senses as it happens..
"what am I seeing?"..'what am I hearing?".."WTF??!!".."I am scared, excited..but..mostly..CONFUSED"
The bulk, certainly the most dramatic of 'my stuff' happened so long ago now they don't even feel relevent to me (which actually feels like a post hypnotic, or maybe even subliminal, telepathic, at this point suggestion to me, even..'let it go,now')
Though, it did shape who I am..my beliefs..in mostly that I realized..genuinely 'things are not as they seem' in this life/world/reality..
I actually lived in Fishkill for a while a long, long time ago and some stuff happened with me there. (but not my most dramatic stuff)
To be honest , my knowledge of that night is completely dissolved. It's just become the story , luckily I have that original post saved on my computer. I wrote that within the first few weeks after the encounter which is why its pretty emotional. I was trying to capture every part of the night into text before it faded over time. Which iam grateful for because now my predication was right and my entire recollections dissolved into this story. One thing I try to remember is the face to face growl. I mean that was the most confrontational and threatening part of that night and when trying to really paint the picture in my head theres a sort of sheet of glass to it and yes as soon as I try to remember that night at all in detail I just go meh , its not important even when trying hard to capture anything from it. I account this to human error though but it could be "their" doing. Oddly enough you say you once lived in fishkill? This experience happened 3 miles outside of pine bush.
I'm unsure if you members here are aware of pine bush but apparently its "ufo sighting capital" of the north east? Maybe its just new york?
Regardless the town has always been boasting itself as a serious hot bed for activity.
Either way bionic , if you could PM me and give me a run down on what has happened to you / your experiences id appreciate it.

Also I just re-read my OP and I realized how far fetched i started everything off. It's just one big mash up of 30-40 minutes of staring into 3 sentences.
When we noticed it we watched it for awhile until we realized it was a moving object. From there we watched for a handful of minutes as it moved around a wooded area going to certain places in it. It wasnt like oh shit ufo dude! oh shit beams!
It wasnt that fast paced. Sorry if that intro to the whole entire ordeal seems a bit offputting , id change in but thats my original story and id rather leave it unedited

Clearly this is just an Ambush site with no credibility whats so ever.
I live in Pine Bush and YES .... I have seen things. I have heard things.
Don't care to share my experiences with mindless, biased, bored, unruly, and rude children.
I am not here to seek advice or substantiate my sightings. my experiences are real and don't care about others opinions on the subject.
ERROR , Get in touch with this lady and you might get some answers. I wish you well.
She is a UFO investigator from the area.
AS FOR THE MORONS hanging out here waiting to ambush people..... Get a FU****** LIFE !
If you DO NOT believe anything people say anyway, then go break some light bulbs. No thought has to go into THAT..................... PERFECT for your kind of stupid.
DROPS MIC, WALKS OFF STAGE ......

Erorr nice post!
Abduction in any form can be hair raising.
Our reaction to it can be tempered.
If we are curious we can use simple tools to interact if we wish too.
If we want it to end we can simply go to bed and try to go to sleep. Putting it out of our mind so to say.
If you would like to work on developing your tool set or just would like to put it out of mind feel free to chime in on the serious abductee chat in this Board. We are here to let you know that you are not alone.

I know how terrifying such experiences can be. The following is from my journal and although I didn't hear any noise as you describe there was a ship and entrance into the bedroom where I slept.
Wednesday, 23 November 2011, my sister and I drove down to Mississippi to visit family over the Thanksgiving Holiday. Our first night there I went outside to have a cigarette and thought I saw a UFO. I called for my sister to come outside with me, and she spotted it too. It was a dark clear calm night, stars were visible there that are hidden by city lights where I live. We watched the craft as it slowly maneuvered its way in our direction. Periodically I could see what looked liked thin light beams shooting down to the ground like search lights as if searching for something. It was impossible to determine how high up it was in the dark. My sister said she could see red on the top of it, and although I didn’t see the red it looked as if it was a very large cigar shaped ship. My niece came out as well. We watched the ship as it slowly maneuvered closer and lower until it began shooting beams in our direction. I saw the beam coming as if a pebble had been thrown into a pond making ripples, the ripples coming directly at me. I jumped up and went into the house while my sister and niece continued to watch it. Were they tracking us? I was uncomfortable with this thought.
My sister and I shared a room with a double bed and attached bathroom. Both of us snore, and if I can get to sleep before she does I’m fine otherwise I’m awake for most of the night. We both read, turned out the light, and she fell instantly asleep leaving me to study the shadows in the room. Eventually I took my pillow, located a blanket in the closet, folded it in half then crawled between the fold, and lay down on the floor at the foot of the bed. I had just found a comfortable position when a white beam of light shown down from the ceiling inches from my face. At the bottom of the beam a one inch square shaped rod about a foot long spread out from each side of the beam on top of the carpet. A grey rectangle about the size of my 3 ½ x 2 ½ inch camera materialized at the side of the beam on or slightly above the rod, paused and disappeared followed by the disappearance of the rod then the beam. “Beam me down, Scotty!” Son of a bitch, I thought, and crawled into bed with my sister, covered us both with protection and finally slept.

I live in Hyde Park NY, which is in the lower Hudson Valley about 90 miles north of New York City. A few miles south of me, there's a bridge that connects Poughkeepsie to Highland on the other side. Error and JavaMama probably know where I'm talking about. The river's narrow there, so the other side appears quite close.
There's a park almost directly under the bridge on the Poughkeepsie side where people hang out during the summer and I was there with my fiance (who's my wife now) one night in the late '80s. It was about midnight and we were the only ones in the park, sitting in my car facing the river listening to music.....we were sober; no drugs or alcohol that night.
Ok, lets cut to the chase.
There's a mountain, not too high, on the Highland side of the bridge, and we're watching what we thought at first was a helicopter coming up from behind the mountain.
Until that night, I thought that seeing UFOs was a load of crap.....you know, like the crazy stuff on the covers of those tabloids that you see at the supermarket checkout.
The '80s here in the lower Hudson Valley was quite a hot spot of UFO activities, but I basically ignored the reports as being nonsense until the night this happened. I've learned that reports of UFOs the size of football fields were common in the '80s in the Hudson Valley.
So we're lookin' at this thing coming over the mountain, and then we realize that it's not a helicopter or a plane. And it wasn't just a light in the sky. It looked like a damn flying saucer, just like you've seen in the movies. It was kind of a metalic pewter color, 50 to 60 feet in diameter and had small white lights all the way around it.
My fiance and I had no doubt what it was; it was coming closer, maybe about 200 to 300 yards away and clearly lit up by the lights of the bridge. We were watching the cars going across the bridge and wondering if they saw it too.....if they did, they didn't stop.
This craft was moving very slow, maybe a couple miles an hour, kinda hovering on the other side of the river. And it didn't make any sound......it was totally silent.
So I, like a young idiot, flashed the headlights on and off at it. I don't know what the hell I thought I was doing, but I did that a couple of times. Then it started to move slowly towards us across the river, now even clearer because it's all lit up better from the bridge's lights.
Now we're starting to get scared, but as it got about half way across, it hovered for about 10 to 15 seconds and then changed direction and went over the bridge and flew slowly south.
We never reported this because like many other people, we didn't want to deal with the publicity and ridicule. My fiance (wife) was so traumatized that as far as I know, she never talked to anyone about it. She wouldn't even talk to me about it. It's as if she just didn't want to acknowledge that it happened. In a way, I can understand how she feels. It was something that totally alters your perception of what you think is reality.....sorta shatters your world view. This experience made me question everything that I thought I knew. I've been kinda researching this off and on since that night.
The problem with finding out what's true or not about UFOs and what's going on, is that there seems to be a lot of misinformation about it, or even a disinformation campaign by some people who want to create the ridicule factor as part of a coverup. And it seems like there's probably people in the UFO community involved in creating false stories and disinformation, too.
It's hard to connect the dots if you don't have all the dots, and I haven't found any credible investigators or whatever who've connected ALL the dots so far.
