{"id":2664,"date":"2016-09-20T23:26:19","date_gmt":"2016-09-20T23:26:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.theblackvault.com\/casefiles\/?p=2664"},"modified":"2020-06-10T22:54:22","modified_gmt":"2020-06-10T22:54:22","slug":"identification-white-substance-formed-rings-fields-plowing-new-pine-creek-oregon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.theblackvault.com\/casefiles\/identification-white-substance-formed-rings-fields-plowing-new-pine-creek-oregon\/","title":{"rendered":"Identification of a White Substance that Formed Rings in Fields after Plowing (New Pine Creek, Oregon)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Background<\/h3>\n<p>White circles have appeared in freshly plowed fields in New Pine Creek, Oregon.\u00a0 It was first seen during plowing in May of 1995.<\/p>\n<p>The white material in one field was sampled September 20, 1996.<\/p>\n<p>This is an area that purportedly has high UFO activity, though to this analyst\u2019s knowledge none were reported in conjunction with the appearance of the white circles.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, the circle formation is a mystery.\u00a0 The object of this analysis is to identify the white substance.<\/p>\n<p>Following are photographs of one of the sites.<\/p>\n<p>These were provided via Dr. Levengood and Nancy Talbott.<\/p>\n<h3>Conclusions:<\/h3>\n<p>&#8211; The white material forming rings in the soil is positively identified as calcium oxalate.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; There is a high probability that aged vegetation is the source of the calcium oxalate in the circles.
