You have a bright object in the frame (in this case, the sun) which creates reflections inside the camera. \u00a0However, this photo is accompanied by multiple witnesses, even calling 911, that saw it with their eyes, and not the use of a lens\/camera.<\/p>\n

That said, it is possible this photo is something else, tied to this story erroneously, and can be explained as a lens flare. It is possible there is no connection between the photo and what the witnesses saw.<\/p>\n

The truth is out there \u2014 and it\u2019s hovering over The Bronx.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

A mysterious light in the sky so freaked out some Hunts Points residents that they called authorities to report their only possible explanation: the arrival of aliens from outer space.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

A \u201cflying spaceship\u201d is moving swiftly over East 149th Street and the Bruckner Expressway, one terrified woman told a 911 operator Saturday night, according to an FDNY source.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Juan Marrero said he, too, had a close encounter.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI look up and see this fireball, \u2018Whoosh!\u2019 and then another, \u2018Whoosh!\u2019\u2009\u201d said Marrero, 57, a pigeon fancier who was on the roof of his building at 11:30 p.m. when he saw two bright lights streaking across the sky. \u201cFrom one side of the sky to the other, too fast for an airplane.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Andres Morales, 25, said he also saw the speedy orb \u2014 and did his best to document his out-of-this-world experience.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI stuck my hand out the car window and snapped like crazy,\u201d he told The Post. \u201cI don\u2019t know what it was but it was moving crazy fast.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the first time locals have said extraterrestrial immigrants boogied down from another galaxy to check out the neighborhood. Unusual lights in the sky were seen in the same area last year, and also in 2011, according to self-described \u201cUFO journalist\u201d Ryan Sprague.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI definitely think we\u2019re dealing with anomalies that could potentially be nonhuman,\u201d Sprague said.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

East 149th Street is close to La\u2009Guardia Airport, which could lead to \u201cmisidentifications,\u201d Sprague conceded, though he said witnesses should not be discounted.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Those who saw the orb on Saturday, and the one last May, echoed the same description \u2014 a light that \u201cjust sort of hovered, stationary, and then shot off in the blink of an eye,\u201d he stressed.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe maneuvers these objects seem to be making don\u2019t fit with any current technology that we\u2019re aware of,\u201d Sprague said.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re not moving, then darting off at unbelievable speeds,\u201d he explained. \u201cI just don\u2019t think that\u2019s something a human could survive.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

But why The Bronx?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cTo study us,\u201d one longtime resident offered. \u201cMaybe they want to learn to break dance.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
