Witness Testimonial
On a warm, bright, cloudless afternoon on September 27, 2008, in my back garden in Witham, Essex, I was taking photos of my partners baby boy. I took a load of photos on a high speed shutter setting using a Panasonic DMC-FZ50 10 Mega Pixel camera.
I took a high speed burst of photos from 14:25 to 14:30. I was concentrating on the baby moving on the grass and not the sky. I did not notice anything strange at the time, but on a single photo (original and crops/enhanced attached) at 14:28:44 there is an object that appears to be in the sky above my house.
On the preceding photo at 14:28:34, nothing abnormal is shown and there is nothing on the following photo at 14:28:48. Only the one at 14:28:44, so whatever it was it appeared or was moving very fast as it could only have been visible for less than a tenth of a second!
What do you make of it?

(Editor's Note: I wrote the gentleman back, and asked him if it was possible that the object in question might be a bird. Here is his answer.)
The reason I tend to rule this out is for a number of reasons.
1. The object was only visible for 1/10th second. No bird can fly into frame and out at that speed.
2. I would expect to see both wings blurred and a more defined shape.
3. If you look at this photo attached the middle is clear but the left and right ends are distant which appears to be a circular shape therefore further away from the camera.
