Team Dublin
Team Dublin is the team of MUFON Field Investigators assigned to the original Stephenville, Texas sightings of 2008.
On January 8th, 2008, dozens of citizens of Stephenville and Dublin, Texas saw unusual events in the skies above them.
MUFON Investigators from Texas traveled to Dublin, Texas on Saturday, January 19th to interview many of the witnesses to the event. It was truly a media circus owing to the fact that this is the most significant mass sighting since the Phoenix Lights event of 1997.
From January 8th through January 30th, 2008, The MUFON Case Management System received 154 reports from all over Texas, not just the Stephenville area. This does not include reports taken in Dublin, Texas. Many reports date back to the 70s and even the 60's. This event has prompted many to come forward without ridicule owing in part to the generally fair and balanced coverage by the national media.
This case is ongoing and will include follow-up interviews with witnesses that didn't come forward the first time. We intend to publish our results in the April 2008 issue of the MUFON Journal.
