The Article

Do hidden memories of some UFO experiences, awakened from a suppressed slumber by synchronicities and connections with “strangers" provide clues to a part of the UFO mystery?

Anyone experiencing or involved in researching UFOs and related strange phenomena is familiar with moments -- many moments -- of synchronicity popping up in their lives. Synchronicity, finding strange connections and parallels with others; all part of the esoteric realm. (That"s why, despite what some say, including some UFO pundits, forming paranormal and UFO cultures on-line is more often a productive and good thing than not.)

Two recent articles by Chris Holly What's Going On? - The Sky is filled with Chemtrails and No One Looks Up! and Something is Wrong - That was a UFO and NO One Noticed! inspired me to comment about them on my blog The Orange Orb and to comment further in my article for my biweekly Trickster's Realm column for Tim Binnall"s website Binnall Of America. (Why Are Some So Numb?) (Others have also been inspired; Holly comments on the e-mails she"s received about her articles, and the blog The Heavy Stuff commented on Holly"s pieces as well in The Real Weirdness Surrounding The Chemtrail Issue)

In both of Holly"s articles, she mentions the utter apathy of people in relation to UFOs and chemtrails. Even when pointing them out to others, even as the UFO or chemtrails are right above their heads, people will not look up. On the rare occasions they do look up, they shrug and walk away, or deny what they"ve just seen. As I wrote in my responses to Holly"s articles, I"ve had this same experience with both UFOs and chemtrails, many times over.

The synchronicities between Holly and myself don"t end there however.

I found another article Holly wrote for ufoinfo.com: The Red Orb. (My personal UFO blog is called The Orange Orb.) She writes of a UFO she saw in 1977; a red orb:

We stood staring at this strange glowing red orb slowly moving in the tree. It had a deep red color and a semi-transparent depth making it multi-dimensional yet without a fixed shape. It was the size of a beach ball or maybe slightly larger. I couldn't determine exact dimensions as the light distorted the size of the orb from second to second making it appear to pulsate as it hovered within the tree.

It was in the late 1970s, early ‘8os, that I saw my orange orb. My orange orb shares some things in common with Holly"s red orb; the time frame, similar (though not the same) in color, glowing from within, just . . . there, about the size of a beach ball, even larger.

There are some differences; Holly writes she felt dizzy upon seeing the orb, I don"t recall that feeling. What I do remember however are the dreams that followed that night, and that I had for a long time afterwards: dreams of being paralyzed in a white beam of light so strong, so white and brilliant, it was almost like having x-ray vision. No matter how badly I wanted to move, to escape, I couldn't. The fear was overpowering. The dreams were always the same: I"m stuck in the brilliant white beam, very unpleasant and harsh, can"t move, and in horrible fear. I"m screaming my husband"s name, because I want to be with him; instead, he"s off somewhere “they" have taken him to. I am afraid for me, and for him.

Waking up from these horrible dreams, I would try to wake my husband, who was impossible to wake. I was so unnerved I would turn on the radio, and the TV, put on all the lights downstairs, too afraid to go back to sleep. I finally went to see a therapist, because the dreams were so bad, and I wasn"t getting any sleep. That was a mistake. I was told I had “an authority problem" (hell, who doesn't) and saw too many sci-fi movies.

Holly"s aftermath was similar yet also very different; Holly experienced a dramatic reminder, or jarring lose of some buried memory about her UFO. At a Halloween party that Holly attended, where her ex-husband was present, the following production took place, which was her ex-husband"s idea:

Midnight arrived and we all gathered around while he pulled the curtain open across the stage for the show to begin. When the curtain opened, a display of a bridge of a UFO appeared with about four life-size aliens moving about, pushing buttons and making strange sounds as if communicating with one another. A table-like slab that seemed to float was in the corner of the display. It had a human-like full-size doll on it with an alien leaning over it. The alien held a tool in its hand and was waving it over the doll. The display had flashing lights and sound effects and everything in it moved. It was the most incredible thing I had ever seen and it frightened the hell out of me. The people at the party were thunderstruck by this scene and yelled and clapped and laughed. They loved it. My ex-husband stood there looking very pleased. I walked over and just stared at him. He turned and stared back. I then said to him in extreme seriousness, "You remember this, don't you, from that night?" Without blinking an eye or giving it much thought, he looked right at me and said, "Yeah, I think so."

Many times, either my husband or myself will just spout off a one liner about that sighting, something that reminds one of us, or jars a vague memory. For example, this is how I remembered that I had forgotten -- somehow the event was suppressed -- that we had experienced missing time during that orange orb sighting. No matter how random, weird, or off the wall the comment is, the other one will acknowledge, in all seriousness, the import of that comment. And the other one will realize we weren"t really joking around after all.
