A Missouri man was not sure why he got up from his computer and walked out onto his back balcony - but it paid off. He witnessed 8 or 9 UFOs in a "strange" formation that floated, then hovered, and "moved freely in various directions. The objects seemed to vibrate," according to witness testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) database.
Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Missouri MUFON investigates and reports back on this case, I will update this page. You can read my selected cases by type of UFO report at the UFO Traffic Report main page.
In other news, check out UFO video from around the world - a tiny sampling of the incredible YouTube video footage we're supposed to believe is of UFOs. In this video, South Caroline man shoots UFO video, and Michigan family spots triangle UFO. And on the paranormal side - read Sacred Dialogue: interacting with your spiritual side.
The following is the unedited witness report from MUFON.
MO, May 9, 2009 - 8 or 9 grouped lights traveling north to south.
I witnessed a group of bright pin point lights approximately 7,000 ft.- 10,000 ft. moving from north to south in sky. They appeared to be disk in shape and moved in an unorganized formation.
I photographed the objects on my rear apartment balcony until they passed. I then ran through my apartment to my front door and continued to photograph them from my front balcony.
The objects stopped suddenly and floated in the sky.
Then they went separately in various directions. One or two went straight up till out of sight. one went south west, two went east a couple others kinda went into the clouds.
I called another person and they saw two lights in the sky also. The light were so very bright that I feel they burned into my eyes. It was a bright and blue sky with small puffy/fluffy clouds. Strange movement for balloons.
1. I was on my computer reading email and looking at Youtube videos.
2. Not sure why I got up from the computer and looked out on my balcony. At first glance, I looked right at them above the trees, as if I knew they would be there.
3. I kinda thought they were helicopters but I was perplexed at the formation and the faintness of glow.
4. The objects floated and stopped and moved freely in various directions. The objects seemed to vibrate.
5. I felt unusually nervous taking the pictures. I am a digital photographer.
6. The objects dispersed into different directions and faded out of sight.
