Khayman is a fictional character in the Vampire Chronicles universe created by Anne Rice.

Khayman was the head steward in the palace of King Enkil and Queen Akasha. He was the second vampire to be made by Akasha (after Enkil). Of Egyptian decent, while living he had very tan skin and black hair, but as a vampire he is very pale with dark hair and black eyes. Khayman was forced to rape the twin witches Maharet and Mekare. He made Mekare into a vampire, and later Mekare made Maharet a vampire, but she was fed the blood of both Mekare and Khayman. After the twins became vampires he also made other vampires in hopes that they would rise against the King and Queen, who tried to appear as Gods.

He experiences memory lapses, mostly after sleeping for a long time, but does not like them by any means. These memory lapses leave him unable to remember parts of his past. He might not even remember his name, but when asked he can give his name, not knowing where he got it from. To the Talamasca he is known as Benjamin the Devil. He used to play with the Talamasca agents in the field that documented sightings of him. Sometimes he stole these documents, and added his own notes to them.

Khayman is one of the 13 vampires who stand against Akasha in The Queen of the Damned. After Akasha's death, Khayman becomes the oldest vampire in existence, and is often viewed as the unofficial "King", since one of his fledglings, Mekare, is now Queen.
