I was up about daybreak on 01-20-2009 somewhere around 7:00 am here in Kaufman, Texas, looking toward the east, and saw this gold something that I thought at the time was a jet with a contrail.
I took three burst pics of it, and a few seconds later took three more burst shots. It was dimming down the second time and completely disappeared, and I immediately took several more photos of the same spot. Usually if it's a jet or an unknown object, the camera will still catch it in a dark color.
I was surprised that in all the photos I took, the object never showed up in any of them. I took a few photos of the Moon and looked back, and there it was again close or at the same spot in the sky. Before I could focus on it again, it disappeared again. I didn't think much about it anymore, but I did post it on your forum.
I later visited The UFO Chronicles and checked out this page, and I couldn't hardly believe what I saw: something that was real close to the same thing I had captured. Check out the last photo of the first list of photos and see what you think. I'm sending you a copy of the original and a close up of mine.
