Biography
In 2000 he had worked on several TV programmes devoted to the subject of Ufology and "The UFOs That Never Were" and he has written extensively for magazines in the field.
He has gone to a lot of trouble to come up with answers to almost all the questions raised by the classic 1974 UFO event commonly referred to as the Berwyn Mountain Incident [1].
Andy has written many articles on this event (please see 'Other Articles' below) and is respected for his "... courage to speak out against the madness which grips UFOlogy". [2]
According to an interview with Nick Redfern [3], Nick states that "Andy Roberts and I have a book coming out next year on an alleged UFO crash incident in Wales in 1974." This relates to the Berwyn Mountain Incident.
It is believed amongst a growing number of UFOlogists world-wide that anyone researching the Berwyn Mountain Incident needs to read Andy J. Roberts articles relating to it to get a fair and balanced opinion.
He is good friends with Nick Redfern, Jenny Randles, Georgina Bruni, Nick Pope and Timothy Good.
Andy has contributed to many local and national TV and radio shows. He worked as a consultant on and appeared in:
The Isle Is Full Of Noises, Everyman, BBC1, Broadcast 1/11/92 and Down To Earth, Fourwinds for Discovery channel, also shown on Channel 4, Origin Unknown, Granada, Broadcast Jan/Feb 1999, The Haunted Valley Granada, Broadcast, November 2000.
Andy edited the seminal UFO magazine, UFO Brigantia, for 25 issues and also edits the sporadic scandal-rag The Armchair UFologist.
In addition Andy has written for numerous publications including: The Dalesman, , Fortean Times, UFO Times, The Guardian, Yorkshire Post, Bradford Telegraph & Argus, Magonia, Northern Earth
His article, Rocking the Alien, dealing with pop music's fascination with UFOs was the cover feature article for the July 1996 issue of Fortean Times and was also printed in the G2 section of The Guardian
