Air Materiel Command

The Air Materiel Command (AMC) is located in Dayton, Ohio at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, but in the early periods of UFO related projects was referred to as Wright Field. The major role of the Air Materiel Command is to be the logistics provider and research arm for the Air Force and its acompanying weaponry.

Wright Patterson is home to many research, engineering, and avionics labs that support the critical role played by AMC in support of the Air Force mission. Similar in name and function, Army Materiel Command (AMC) located presently at Fort Belvoir provides the same function but for soldiers.
