Praise be to our Creator! Aleppo's Greek Orthodox bishop Boulos Al-Yazigi and the city's Syrian-Orthodox Metropolitan Yuhanna Ibrahim released at last (www.christianpost.com/news/kidnapped-sy ... ion-94631/)! They had been kidnapped by Chechen fundamentalists, joined local Al-Nursa's rebels for performing their so-called Jihadist Duty, during the Christian clerics' negotiations on the release of two priests taken captive by rebels of the same al-Nusra group, affiliated to al-Qaida, two months ago.
Both facts of kidnapping cause extreme concern to all Christians lived here, in Syria now. It is quite obvious for us that as soon as the Islamists take down accused Assad's government they dispose of all believers of Orthodox Churches here, because despite the latter's efforts to live with local Sunnites and Alleviates in peace and dignity these radicals have eyes only for their version of Islamic religious thought on this land.
We, Syrian Christians, think that to all seeming local oppositionists' sponsors from such rich Muslim countries as Saudi Arabia and Qatar still supply weapons on the only condition that their Muslim brothers are barred from cutting our throats here. Otherwise there would not be a single Christian in current Syria just now!
