Yesterday I was sitting in my car in a parking lot. I saw some crows and took a picture of them with my i-phone. When i looked at the pic something was in it that was not there visibly, at least, when I took the picture.
Weurd. it's the shadowy, gray, spirally thing in front of the red car. It was not there. Wild, huh?

Have you checked to see if anything was on the lens? Normally, something that out of focus means that it's VERY close to the lens. Maybe a speck of dirt / clothing on a camera case or on the lens of the camera? Just a thought...

The shape of it does make me think it could be a piece of fiber.

ohh..had not thoughjt of that..I do keep camera in my jeans pocket..so..that might be a cottton fiber..I was alos wondering what was casting the shadow..to the right of it..but anyway..

Hmmm...I see what your talking about. Might depend on what was behind you and what time of day. If it was something like a tree, sometimes shadows can be especially long.
