But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

You don't have to be an Einstein to figure that out. And we wonder why atheists look at believers with such contempt.

I don't wonder about it. I know that Atheists are going to look upon Believers for multitudes of reasons...not just this one.


It is the"love" of money...emphasis on love...which makes it evil...not money itself. Often many people seem to miss out on this understanding while pushing bias or misunderstanding.

Be very careful about things you love. For error in love can lead us to bad, erroneous, even misleading conduct.
