We've recently gone round and round with this khanster. I'm sure it's in a thread on page 1 of this forum.
Anyway, many believers will argue with me til the cows come home on this, but the fact is, if you believe the bible, then you must believe that we do not have 100% free will. We have free will, yes, but we do not have full autonomy.
Adam and Eve had 99.999999999% free will to do what they want without consequence. They could do an infinite number of things, but for 2: Don't eat the fruit from this tree and that tree. Were they satisfied? No. And so it goes. Most of us are utterly and completely dissatisfied unless we have full autonomy.
"But let us not come up with any patronizing nonsense about Jesus being a great teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to." C.S. Lewis
