The Black Vault

Throughout the past couple of months, The Black Vault has seen quite a few changes here on the board, and on the main site.

I think it's time we all take a moment, and read through the few rules and regulations here on The Black Vault:

I am a strong advocate for the Freedom of Speech, but not at the expense of others safety or experience here at The Black Vault. That is why the simple rules are outlined above.

Many have tried to find the thin line that separates the rules and being in the 'safe zone' without getting a warning. I please ask, you all use this site for free, so the ONLY thing I ask, is you obey the FEW rules set forth and find some mutual respect for others. We are all entitled to our opinions here, and will differ on many issues. But name calling, badgering, etc., is not welcome or tolerated.

Feel free to speak your mind - but do so in a manner that is respectful, legal and within the rules and regulations set by The Black Vault.

The rules are very clear ..... The Moderators just need to do their jobs & enforce the rule as required.

& not as a means of flaming or trolling other members. Or stopping an alternative view from being expressed.

If porn is posted a mandatory warning should be issued. those are the rules.

Consistency, Integrity & all that jazz.

The issue is never the rules .... It's always been the selective enforcement of the rules by a hand full of moderators.

The last thing we all need is another moderator meal situation again.

I guess you didn't get the memo that there aren't any moderators anymore.

Except me.

That's why I changed the rules to be singular moderator... and updated it a bit.

Hi, I'm new here, and one of those nerdy guys who always tries to follow all rules, even the rules in an owner's manual for an automobile.

My name is Dan, and I'd like to share a couple of thoughts I've learned through my many years of working in public...

1) When one resorts to name calling, insults, yelling, etc... they are simply out of intelligent things to say. So I try not to talk to these people as I wish to not stoop to that level.

2) Those who can not discuss something without using profanity need to work on their vocabulary.

3) Talk to others as you'd want them to talk to you.

4) Realize that all people will disagree eventually. If not, discussions would be very boring as someone would say or post something, and in agreement, all anyone could respond is YEP!

I look forward to being on this site. I've seen John on TV on many shows, and seen the website address under his name. I am glad I finally started coming here, and I look forward to getting to know many of the regulars.

BTW, yes, I realize I called myself a nerd, but calling myself a name doesn't fall under the above rule!!! LOL!!!
